*"And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed."*

God our Father and our Lord Jesus Christ are mindful of those we associate with. Our Lord Jesus Christ was always in company with the disciples except on a few occasions when He had to go out of the way to win a soul. He knows that evil company or evil association corrupts good character (1 Corinthians 15:13).

Jesus Christ wants us to live and walk in His Word, and associate with likeminded people who live and walk in His Word. It is then we can sharpen one another and learn from one another so that we can shine as true lights of the world. If Christians dissociate from their fellow Christians who are not walking in the Scriptures, they shall be ashamed and turn from their crooked ways.

Let us be quick to identify brethren who are taking the gospel for granted so that we can help them to stand in the faith. Dear beloved, make conscious effort to edit your associations. Atmosphere matters a lot if you want to walk with the Spirit of God and do great exploits in life.

When mankind fell in the Garden of Eden they became sinners; in fact, their nature became polluted with sin and they began to bear the nature of sin. They, therefore, needed deliverance from sin.

Jesus Christ was sent to die on the cross to deliver mankind from sin. All mankind has been delivered from sin but to honor Jesus Christ and become a personal beneficiary of this inheritance, you must first accept Jesus Christ as saviour and Lord of your life.

After you have received Christ Jesus, eternal life becomes your present inheritance; you then qualify to enjoy all the promises of God in the Holy Scriptures. This is the message of the Gospel, or good news. Dearly beloved, do you preach the good news? Reach out to someone with the good news this week

*TOPIC: Don't Give Up*

*"Be ye strong therefore, and let not your hands be weak: for your work shall be rewarded."*

There is a tendency to give up when there is no motivation. No wonder our opening scripture motivates the believer in Christ Jesus that there is a sure reward for his work. What he needs to do on his part is to be strong on the inside and on the outside; he should also strengthen his hands to keep on working.

A mindset of reward should be enough to urge the Christian to keep working with and for the LORD. Jesus Christ is the rewarder of those who do not give up on God's work, Revelation 22:12. Dearly beloved, have you given up on God's work? Be strengthen and keep on moving because he is there with you.

*TOPIC: The Heritage Of God's Children*

*TEXT: Isaiah 54:17 KJV*

*"No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD."*

The children of God have many heritages, two of which have been mentioned above. The first is "no weapon that wages war against you shall prosper"; the weapons of the enemy are deceit, lies, doubt, immorality, sickness etc.

The second is "every tongue that shall rise against you in judgment you shall condemn", meaning that any tongue that speaks against you with the intention of judging you, you shall bring it to naught.

The devil and his cohorts of darkness can throw their best weapons but they will surely fail; they can speak their best language against you but you shall silence it.
Praise the LORD!

*TOPIC: Living In Faith*

*"And he the synagogue, Jairus, had a daughter who was very sick. He pleaded with Jesus Christ to come and heal his daughter. Whilst Jesus was on the way, the daughter was reported dead but Jesus told Jairus to believe that all things are possible to he who believes.

When Jesus Christ and Jairus got home, all the people were wailing but Jesus comforted them, saying that the child was not dead but sleeping. The people stopped wailing and laughed at Jesus Christ's words of faith. Jesus turned all of them out of the house except Peter, James, John, and Jairus. He turned them out to maintain his faith in God, and called the little girl to life.

As believers in Christ Jesus, try as much as possible to maintain your faith by moving only with those who have the same faith as you; get rid of all the people in your life who are bent on creating doubt in you, so that you can make progress. Dearly beloved, are you in company with people who have the same faith as you? It is important to edit your associations and build kingdom community.

*TOPIC: Your Adversary The Devil*

*"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"*

An adversary is someone who always takes the opposing position, in other words, an opponent or an enemy. The devil is described as an opposition, opponent, and an enemy. He has nothing good in him and will never do good.

He seeks people who are vulnerable to destroy them through hypocrisy and deception. The only way a believer in Christ Jesus can outwit him is to be sober and vigilant. Soberness and vigilance must go together to identify the operations of the devil and his cohorts of darkness.

Christians must therefore shun sleepiness, dull-mindedness, drunkenness, ignorance, and prayerlessness to overcome the adversary. Be sober and teachable.

*TOPIC: Tribulation And Peace*

*"These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."*

Jesus Christ touched on many subjects before talking about peace and tribulation. Some of the subjects He touched on are His departure to heaven, the coming of the Holy Spirit, and the persecutions awaiting His disciples. He then went on to say that everything He had said was to give the disciples peace in Him.

The Word of God provides peace; He also told them the plain truth of what awaited them so that when they went through it, they would be comforted. The children of God will go through tribulation because sin has overturned creation to oppose anything that is godly. This is the severity of Adam and Eve's sin. You will face even greater tribulation when you talk worldly talk, but when you talk faith you will enjoy peace. Dearly beloved walk with the Holy Spirit and talk faith talk.

*TOPIC: Long Life*

God is in the business of giving long life to His children. When man fell from grace in the Garden of Eden, he began to die. People used to live for nine hundred and sixty-nine years, but this number started to decline.

When man began to commit numerous sins, the years of man on earth were cut to one hundred and twenty years, Genesis 6:3. This is long life in the Old Testament. In the New Testament, the just shall live by faith, Romans 1:17; this means that the children of God are given the opportunity to live as long as they can to do the work of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Dearly beloved, how long do you want to live?
Live by faith!

*TOPIC: The Crown Of God's Creation*

*TEXT: Genesis 1:31 KJV*

*"And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day"*

The unique thing about God's creation is that God created heaven and earth in six days, and rested on the seventh day. In these six days of creation, the phrase, "And God saw that it was good" appears in the first five days. However, on the sixth day a unique phrase, "it was very good" appears.

The difference between these two phrases is the intensifier "very"; this is because man was created on the sixth day. Man - male and female - is the crown of God's creation. This explains why God committed the whole earth and everything therein to man, to have dominion over the earth and everything that is on the earth.

Man was created in the image of God, which means man is a spirit being with several attributes of God inherent in him. Dearly beloved, do you believe that you are the crown of God's creation? He loves you and will care for you always. Trust him and commit all to him.

*TOPIC: Transferable Power*

*TEXT: Luke 6:19 KJV*

*"And the whole multitude sought to touch him: for there went virtue out of him, and healed them all."*

The power of the Holy Spirit is transferable; the Holy Spirit can move from one place to another. Jesus was full of the power of the Holy Spirit in such a way that every part of His body could heal the sick; even His clothes could heal the sick, Mark 6:56.

The Holy Spirit worked in the life of His disciples with the same power, so Paul prayed over handkerchiefs and aprons and the sick were healed by these handkerchiefs and aprons; even demons fled upon coming into contact with these handkerchiefs and aprons.

The Apostle Peter was so filled with the Holy Spirit that even his shadow healed the sick, Acts 5:15. The Holy Spirit is still using people mightily today; He could use you if you allow Him so to do. Dearly beloved, have you ever demonstrated the power of the Holy Spirit in you? The whole creature is groaning and waiting for your manifestation as a Son.

*TOPIC: Cast Them On Jesus*

*TEXT: 1Peter 5:7 KJV*

*"Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you."*

Some people come to Christ Jesus and still carry their burdens. This is so because they are still ignorant of the scriptures. However, by knowing of the opening scripture they will no longer carry their burdens but cast them upon Jesus. Sometimes we go through unnecessary challenges because we do not know our inheritance in the Word of God.

The bible has answers for all the questions we have; the bible also has all the solutions to the challenges that come our way. What we need to do is to search the scriptures for answers and solutions. As we go on with our daily routines, let us not carry any burden; we have Jesus Christ who is prepared to carry our burdens for us so that we can be free to do His work, Matthew 11:28. Dearly beloved, are you still carrying any burdens? We have a burden bearer. Cast them on Jesus!

PRAYER:
Thank you Lord for the gift of life and the power of your Word this morning
Lord I cast all my burdens upon you today for I know that you care for me. Thank you Jesus. Amen
