Educational committee progress tips on the last event for the CYON. Pictures below says it all. Members are shown sitting and standing "comfortably" under rain. To listen to our resource person Mr. Chris Osuman and his adorable wife from Holy Family barnawa address the house on the STATE of the NATION. It was a bomb as members not minding the weather craved for more. Chai! It was a huge success for the committee.

From the desk of the communication chairman:

A mouse looked through the crack in the wall to see the farmer and his wife open a package.

What food might this contain?" The mouse wondered - he was devastated to discover it was a mousetrap.

Retreating to the farmyard, the mouse proclaimed the warning: There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The chicken clucked and scratched, raised her head and said, "Mr.Mouse, I can tell this is a grave concern to you, but it is of no consequence to me. I cannot be bothered by it."

The mouse turned to the goat and told him, "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The goat sympathized, but said, "I am so very sorry, Mr.Mouse, but there is nothing I can do about it but pray. Be assured you are in my prayers."

The mouse turned to the cow and said "There is a mousetrap in the house! There is a mousetrap in the house!"

The cow said, "Wow, Mr. Mouse. I'm sorry for you, but it's no skin off my nose."

So, the mouse returned to the house, head down and dejected, to face the farmer's mousetrap alone.

That very night a sound was heard throughout the house - like the sound of a mousetrap catching its prey.

The farmer's wife rushed to see what was caught. In the darkness, she did not see it was a venomous snake whose tail the trap had caught.

The snake bit the farmer's wife. The farmer rushed her to the hospital , and she returned home with a fever.

Everyone knows you treat a fever with fresh chicken soup, so the farmer took his matchet to the farmyard for the soup's main Ingredient.

But his wife's sickness continued, so friends and neighbours came to sit with her around the clock.

To feed them, the farmer butchered the goat.

The farmer's wife did not get well; she died.
So many people came for her funeral, the farmer had the cow slaughtered to provide enough meat for all of them.

The mouse looked upon it all from his crack in the wall with great sadness.

So, the next time you hear someone is facing a problem and think it doesn't concern you, remember when one of us is threatened, we are all at risk.

We are all involved in this amazing journey called life. We must keep an eye out for one another and make an extra effort to encourage one another.

Each of us may not be connected through a blood line, we may not even be friends. But we are all connected through humanity.

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.
I am God'stime!

Life is too ironic. It takes sadness to know what happiness is invaluable, noise to appreciate silence, and absence to value presence. Sometimes you need patience in order to find true happiness. It won't come fast and it won't come easy, but it will be worth it.

Life is too short to wake up with regrets, so love the people who treat you right, and forget the ones who don't. Especially if you can't forgive, then you must forget. If not for anything, for your own good. He that begrudges another does his/her self a greater harm than such a person can fathom. Secondly, think of the shortness and emptiness of this life. Where do we start the count from? Is it cancer?sars?mad cow desease?ebola?boko haram?riots or wars in almost every country now? I don't know the lesson you see in all these but the obvious truth is that life is too short to live it in regrets. Show some love and you will be the happier one.
