THE GREAT MULTITUDE BEFORE THE THRONE
📖 Revelation 7:9–10
“After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: ‘Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.’”
The vision that John saw in the book of Revelation was not a small gathering hidden in silence. It was a mighty multitude beyond human number, gathered before the throne of God in glorious victory. These were people from every nation, every language, every tribe, and every generation. Heaven was not divided by race, status, or earthly power. Every redeemed soul stood united before the Lamb in worship. This powerful vision reminds us that the Kingdom of God is greater than the boundaries of the earth.
The white robes worn by the multitude were not garments of human achievement. They were robes washed in the blood of the Lamb. Their purity did not come from perfection, wealth, or earthly fame. Their victory came through Jesus Christ alone. The world may reject the believer, but Heaven recognizes those who remain faithful to Christ. God still honors those who stand for Him when the world turns away.
The palm branches lifted in their hands symbolized triumph and eternal victory. These were not defeated people. These were overcomers. They had endured trials, persecution, tears, and suffering on earth, yet now they stood victorious before the throne of God. Every pain they carried on earth had been swallowed by eternal glory. Every battle had led them into everlasting peace.
This heavenly scene teaches us that our present struggles are temporary. Many people become discouraged because of suffering, delays, disappointments, or spiritual battles. Yet Revelation reveals that those who endure in faith will stand before God in eternal joy. The road m
