FREEDOM FROM BO***GE
Psalm 126:1-6; Lk 4:18, Isa 61:

What is Freedom?
According to Webster Dictionary, Freedom is the power or right to Act, Speak, and think as you want without being blocked, hurt, or controlled by heavy rules.

It means having choices and living your life without unfair force.

What is bo***ge?
It is a state of being bound, enslaved, or heavily controlled by an outside force.

Bo***ge is any condition that blinds the mind and holds people in cycles of defeat, failure, shame and fear.

Who needs freedom?
1. Slaves to sin John 8:32, Rom 6:14
Anyone that lives a sinful life is already a slave to sin in need of freedom.

Sadly, even some believers have become slaves to sin, what the bible called Besetting sin.

It is possible to live a holy life by the grace of God or ask God for grace.

2. People who are oppressed by a government, system or individuals.

Some people are slaves are being oppressed by their own work or by others somewhere else.

4.Psychological bo***ge -when the mindset becomes destructive.

5.Political bo***ge-when a government put's or place policies that enslaves the people.
Jer.52 :28-30,Lk 2:1

How to gain freedom from all form's of bo***ge or slavery.

1.Seek for divine intervention
Lk 18:3,Acts 16:25,Lk.18:7-8,2chr.7:14

-Through prayers, praise and worship.

-Special fastings

-Midnight prayers

-Something unusual to get the attention of God.

2.Seek the help of spiritual and anointed men of God

PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS OF TAKING CHARGE 16/8/2026
1 Thes 5:23 May the God who gives us peace make you holy in every way and keep your whole being — spirit, soul, and body — free from every fault at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
24 He who calls you will do it, because he is faithful. GNB

1Thes 5:23 We pray that God himself, the God of peace, will make you pure—belonging only to him. We pray that your whole self—spirit, soul, and body—will be kept safe and be blameless when our Lord Jesus Christ comes. ERV

1 Tim 4:16 Be careful about the way you live and about what you teach. Keep on doing this, and you will save not only yourself, but the people who hear you CEV

In addition to Taking Charge of all of God’s creation and having dominion over the forces of darkness, one other most important area to Take Charge of is your entire being - Spirit, Soul and body (from inside to outside)

For us to successfully Take Charge of daily challenges of life we must deploy the fruit of the Spirit called self control to take charge of our human spirit, soul and body - our entire being.
Gal. 5:22-23

Nothing works well without control, so also with man created in God’s image. A believer should be controllable by the fruit of the Spirit in us

How to bring our Spirit, Soul and body under God's Control
1. The Spirit.: This is the part of us that knows and relates with God after one is born again and made alive in Christ. Jon 3:5-6

For your Spirit to be alive and vibrant you must feed him with God's word else you become weak and wild. Jon 6:63; Mt 4:4

Get your spirit involved in prayer, praises and worship daily
Eph 3:16; Acts 13:2

Listen to spiritual songs that edifies. Acts 16:25; Eph 5:19
2. The Soul : This is the domain of your mind, will and emotions.

The mind which is the seat of our thoughts, believe and imagination is like the engine of a car that moves the body.

Whatever happens to the mind, which is like the engine, will automatically give direction to what the body will do. Prov 23:7

No one can become or do what his mind has not accepted.

When a man's mind goes through the cross by death & is in union with Christ, the result will be submission to the fruit of the Spirit- self control

The mind apart from being the control centre is the interpreter, the spiritual bridge, the protector, planner and the battle field of the body. Isa 26:3

The new mind needs regular renewal. Control your outbursts
else you will run wild. Eph 4:26; Eccl 7:9
Rom.12.2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God

> Think on the word, memorize the word. Phil.4.8; Ps 104:34; 119:97

> Guard what you watch and listen to, because your soul is shaped by what it feeds on.
Prov 4:23; Judg 13:1; 16:1
> Make decisions by convictions not by emotions. Prov 3:5-6

The body: This is the vehicle that drive all your actions, habits, appetite and addictions

1Cor.9.27 I discipline my body like an athlete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified. (NLT)

> Present your body to God daily as a sacrifice Rom 12:1
Your body is not your own. You can't do with it as you like

1 Cor 6:19 Haven’t you yet learned that your body is the home of the Holy Spirit God gave you, and that he lives within you? Your own body does not belong to you.
20 For God has bought you with a great price. So use every part of your body to give glory back to God because he owns it. TLB

> practice self discipline: where you go, what you watch, what you wear, what you say, what you eat. Job 31:1; Prov 4:23-27

1Tim.2.9 And I want women to be modest in their appearance. They should wear decent and appropriate clothing and not draw attention to themselves by the way they fix their hair or by wearing gold or pearls or expensive clothes. (NLT)

> Flee all appearances of evil 2Tim 2:22; 1Thes 5:22; 1Cor 6:18

You are what you make room for
Lk 6:45 Good people have good things saved in their hearts. That’s why they say good things. But those who are evil have hearts full of evil, and that’s why they say things that are evil. What people say with their mouths comes from what fills their hearts. ERV

HAPPY 70TH BIRTHDAY, OUR PAPA, DR JOHN AKPAMI Dr. John Akpami

Today, we celebrate more than a birthday. We celebrate 70 years of a life poured out for God, His people, and His purpose.

Dr. John Akpami, our father, mentor, teacher, and General Overseer of Christian Teaching Centre Family Church Worldwide, your life has been a testimony of what happens when a man gives himself completely to the call of God.

For decades, you have taught us the Word, strengthened our faith, corrected us with wisdom, prayed for us with love, and continually pointed us beyond ourselves to Christ.

Your greatest legacy is not merely the churches built, the sermons preached, or the lives touched—it is the people who have become better, stronger, wiser, and more committed to God because you answered the call.

At 70, we honour the grace that has kept you, the wisdom that has guided you, and the faithfulness that has carried you through the years.

Daddy, we celebrate you.
We honour you.
We thank God for you.
And we pray that your latter years will carry even greater glory than your former years.

May God renew your strength, preserve your health, enlarge your influence, deepen your joy, and continue to make your life a blessing to generations yet unborn.

May the Lord grant you many more fruitful years to fulfil every assignment committed to your hands.

70 years of grace.
70 years of wisdom.
70 years of impact.
70 years of Kingdom service.

We love you. We honour you. We celebrate you.

Happy 70th Birthday Daddy, Dr. John Akpami!
Our Father. Our Teacher. Our Shepherd. Our Blessing. 🙏🏽

ENTHRONED
Seated with Christ, Called to Reign
Anchor Scripture: Eph 2:4-6
Our Position and Reality

The core proposition of this message is that believers do not fight for victory; we operate from victory position. Your enthronement in Christ is not a future physical destination, but a present spiritual reality that dictates your current identity, authority, and earthly assignment.

Ephesians 2:4-6 NKJV
[4] But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, [5] even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), [6] and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,

Notice the past tense—"made us sit." This is an accomplished legal fact. Position precedes manifestation.

¶ Before one can manifest the blessing and riches in Christ Jesus, there is need to be positioned where Christ is Seated.

¶Being "seated" means resting in His finished work. You cannot reign until you learn to rest.

¶Fear and anxiety stem from trying to fight battles Jesus already won. Stop fighting for a position God already granted you.

WHAT GIVES US ACCESS TO THE HEAVENLY SEAT.

1. By being born again
¶ Anyone who is not in Christ Jesus or. Simply put, those who have not received Jesus does not qualify for this Seat.

John 1:12 John 1:12 AMPC
[12] But to as many as did receive and welcome Him, He gave the authority (power, privilege, right) to become the children of God, that is, to those who believe in, trust in, and rely on) His name.

>All who welcome Jesus as Lord of their lives are reborn spiritually, receiving new life from God

>Through Faith in Christ, this new birth changes us from inside out-rearranging our attitudes, desires and motives.

2. By Faith in the word James 1:22

James 1:22-24 MSG
[22-24] Don’t fool yourself into thinking that you are a listener when you are anything but, letting the Word go in one ear and out the other. Act on what you hear! Those who hear and don’t act are like those who glance in the mirror, walk away, and two minutes later have no idea who they are, what they look like.

> If we must enjoy the benefit of sitting where Christ is, we must be ready to do the word(obedience) and talk the word (Decree).

The Authority Behind the Throne (Where we are seated)
Ephesians 1:19–23

"...He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all principality and power and might and dominion..."

¶Christ is seated "far above."
Because you are in Him, every spiritual force, fear, or obstacle trying to rule over you is underneath your feet.

¶Spiritual location dictates influence. Being seated in "heavenly places" places you far above demonic hierarchies, Sin, Sickness, Poverty, generational limitations, and worldly systems.

>You cannot reign where there are no oppositions or battles.

>You are not called to reign in heaven (where there is no rebellion to overcome);

Revelation 5:10 NKJV
[10] And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth.”

> As a King, we decree God's will on the earth.

"You cannot exercise kingly authority on earth if you are suffering from spiritual amnesia about where you sit in the spirit."

> A king does not negotiate with rebellious subjects; a king decrees.

Many believers plead with situations they ought to command. Align your language with your throne position.

>What makes us to reign in life is overcoming challenges of life.

>Authority unexercised is utility wasted.

Reigning is not passive; it requires decreeing God’s Word, advancing the Kingdom in your career, family, and community, and exercising dominion over darkness.

How to Reign As a believer
1. By Decree: Speaking the Word with authority, not timid wishes (Job 22:28).

2. By Righteousness: Living blamelessly so the enemy has no legal ground over you.

3. By Service & Influence: Exercising God's wisdom to influence culture, business, and society.
