Dominion City was founded in 1996, under the leadership of Pastor David Ogbueli at no 2 marcus Garvey in New Haven Enugu with 6 people. After few months it outgrew the sitting room, and moved to Garnnet concord Hotel that sits about 40 people, it also outgrew it and moved to Cordial Hotel. In 1997, the church moved to an uncompleted Building in 95 Chime Avenue, New Haven Enugu. In 2006, the church
moved to its present location in Enugu. It has since grown to a church of almost 1,500 people with 25 branches all over the city of Enugu. In 2007, Dominion City Kaduna was established. It has ever been growing, and has it Headquarters at Golden Heart Centre, opp St. Gerard's hospital, Beside Crittall Hope kachia Road, Kaduna with 800 sitting capacity Auditorium plus 5 Satellite Churches in the City of Kaduna
Today, Dominion City has its headquarters located in Lekki-Ajah expressway, Lagos. It has also established churches in all the major cities in Nigeria; with overseas branches in U.S.A, U.K, CANADA, EGYPT, UAE, SOUTH AFRICA, GHANA, RWANDA, KENYA, INDIA, CAMEROOUN, TOGO, UKRAINE, PHILIPPINES etc. Dominion City is a purpose driven church. Here we do everything based on purpose. There are 5 purposes for which God created the church and Dominion City is simply structured to fulfill these 5 purposes. Each purpose has a directorate with the mandate to drive and accomplish the purpose. Several departmental units team up together under a directorate to achieve their purpose. Each directorate is headed by a senior pastor.
