THE MESSAGE

Faith is not just believing there is a God. We have to trust Him. When I get on a plane, I believe there is a pilot of course, but if for any reason I could not trust him I would quickly walk off again. I have to believe IN him. James takes us back to some of the first principles of the life of Jesus. He wrote about faith. He said “You believe that there is one God. Good! Even the demons believe that and shudder”, but - they remained demons. (James 2,19 NIV). Christians “look to Jesus the author and finisher of their faith”. Jesus did not give us something to believe, BUT SOMEBODY TO TRUST. Christianity keeps an ancient creed but believes a Person. You can’t sign on the dotted line to make you a Christian. You cannot utter a formal sentence to convert you. It is a matter of the heart, resting on Christ, moment by moment, led by His precious Holy Spirit.

Truth About Sin

It takes a lot of discipline and the grace of God to avoid sin. In this world, sin chases people on every side. Sin walks on the street, appears on tv, speaks through the radio, writes books. Sin acts films for people to watch and backslide, sin even comes to the church. Sin is available in every measure and quality, depending on how you want it. Sin is never tired, it doesn't fade, always attractive. Sin is always the sweetest thing at the present, but it will produce a disasterous future. Sin multiplies and advances with time. Sin is never too little to destroy a person. Sin can be your secret partner and nobody will know it. Sin can even relax in your pocket, while you're carrying the Bible all around. Sin is the worst virus and only Jesus is the cure.

RUN AWAY FROM SIN AND HOLD ON TO JESUS!
