Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Fasting and the Quran will intercede for a person on the Day of Judgment. Fasting will say, 'O Lord, I kept him from his food and desires during the day, so accept my intercession for him.' And the Quran will say, 'I kept him from sleeping at night, so accept my intercession for him.' Then they will be granted intercession." (Ahmad)
