There are things that have followed your family for generations that were never supposed to make it to your children.

I know that may sound strange. I know you don’t always have words for it. But stay with me for a second.

You have watched certain patterns repeat. The same struggle that showed up in your mother showing up in you. The same fear that lived in your grandmother’s house quietly setting up in yours. The same cycles,
the anger, the anxiety, the heaviness, the lack, passing from one generation to the next like an inheritance nobody asked for but everybody received.

You have felt it. The moment you caught yourself doing the thing you swore you would never do. The moment you heard your mother’s words come out of your mouth. The moment you realized what you grew up inside of followed you home.

There is a reason God told Abraham I will establish my covenant with you and your descendants after you. There is a reason the enemy works generationally too, because he knows that what gets established in one generation has a head start in the next. There is a reason scripture talks about the sins of the fathers and the blessings of the righteous being inherited by their children’s children.

Generational things are real. In both directions.

Which means the prayers you pray today are not just for you. They are for your children. And their children. And the generation after that. Every time you open your mouth and cover your home you are drawing a bloodline around your bloodline. You are saying, this is where the cycle ends. This is where the pattern breaks. This is where the inheritance changes.

What followed your family for generations does not have the right to follow your children home. You are not just praying for your house. You are rewriting what gets passed down.

This is your house. Draw the line here.
