Let Him in

We live in one of the most dangerous hours we have ever been in. The church has become self deceived into thinking that we are increased with goods and in need of nothing. We have substituted material blessings with the true spiritual blessings of God. Self deception is the worse kind because we don’t realize the need for the help of the Holy Spirit. As the Lord says in the book of Revelation, “ we knowest not that we are wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked.”

I have never seen a time in the church were we have given the Word of God the “biggest but” I’ve ever seen! We have simply compromised and watered down the Word. If it deals with our sin and selfishness we won’t consume it. We simply pass it on as if the Holy Spirit convictions are not for us, but for everyone else. If it doesn’t fit our message we change it to fit our agenda. We have to come to a realization that we are lukewarm as a church. God said He would rather us be hot or cold. One day it is all of Christ and the next it is only some of Christ because we have added more “yeah but though” to the Word. I simply don’t know how long God can tolerate the taste of a lukewarm church without spewing it up. As the old saints would say, “I wish somebody’s soul would catch on fire and burn with the Holy Ghost. “

By the time God had finished pleading with the church of Laodicea in the book of Revelation chapter 3, He ended up on the outside knocking trying to get into a church in which He purchased with His own blood. There is always room for repentance in the life of a believer and also necessary for the child of God. We have to truly have a repentant heart if we want to continue to have relationship with the Lord. There has to be a conscious need for His presence in our lives. The Lord will always try and reach us no matter how far we fall. He is simply knocking, which simply tells us that although we as a church may have substituted Him on the inside, He’s still there wanting to fellowship and sup with us. The question is, Will we let Him in?

Rev 3:20 Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me

God's greatest gift to the world is Jesus Christ, and His greatest gift to the church is the Holy Spirit.

It is so unfortunate that these two are no longer spoken of by our 21st century preachers.

The Word of God is truth, and most be spoken to the ends of the earth without alteration.

God's word makes us grow spiritually Hebrews 5:14

Growth is essential for every believer because it strengthens a person’s relationship with God, it helps us commune with God, and also helps us become more like Christ. Just as a child must grow physically to become mature, a believer must also grow spiritually to develop faith, wisdom, and understanding of God’s word.

When we depend on the Holy Spirit, He gives us utterances...

Everyone wants to be prophetic until God asks you to deliver the word nobody wanted to hear.

Until He wakes you up at 3am with a burden so heavy for someone you barely know that you have no choice but to pray. Until He asks you to walk across the room and speak to the person everyone else walked past. Until the word He gives you costs you something. Until you deliver it perfectly and they reject it anyway. Until you are misunderstood by people you love and cannot explain yourself because what God is doing in you is too deep for a casual conversation.

Everyone wants the offices. Nobody talks about the weight of it.

Nobody tells you that being prophetic means you will feel things in rooms that other people cannot feel. That you will carry grief for situations that have nothing to do with you. That you will see things in people, beautiful, redemptive, God-breathed things, that they cannot yet see in themselves. And you will have to decide over and over again whether to be faithful to what God showed you or comfortable in what people will accept.

That is the real prophetic life. And it is not glamorous. It is SURRENDER.

But here is what I know. A pure prophetic flow does not come from a gifted person. It comes from a healed one. From a woman who has done the inside work. Who has exchanged every lie for truth. Who has cleared out everything that would contaminate what God wants to flow through her. Who has gotten so close to the heart of God in the secret place that when she opens her mouth, it sounds like Him.

Because the world does not need more prophetic voices. It needs pure ones.
The gift was never the point. He was always the point. And when He becomes everything,
the gift becomes dangerous.
