I FOUND IT'S MORE IMPORTANT
Here is a small reminder.
It may benefit us.
Spreading the recitation of the Qur’an or any knowledge that enjoins good and forbids evil is Sadaqatul Jariyah (continuous charity). Even after you die, whatever you spread in this world — as long as people continue to benefit from it — you will continue receiving rewards, even in your grave.
Likewise, the one who spreads فساد (corruption) and evil deeds.
I want to speak about those who sing (music) and those who promote it.
What really worries me is this: when a person uploads a song — whether as a status or on any social media platform — he does not know how many people will listen to it, nor how many will share it. Yet it is among the deeds he has sent forward for himself. Sins may be recorded for him without him realizing it.
Imagine you share a song before going to sleep, and millions of people keep listening to it while you are asleep. You are sleeping, yet sins are being written against you. And what if you die? That would become continuous sin (Munkar Jariyah) for you instead of Sadaqatul Jariyah.
It is not only about music. It also includes anyone who spreads any kind of evil: indecent pictures, immoral speech, backbiting, inappropriate dancing, etc.
However, I am speaking to the one who believes that music is haram.
For the one who is doubtful about whether it is haram or not, here is an example:
You can never compare someone who spreads Qur’an recitation with someone who spreads music. You can never equate someone who spreads the Qur’an and promotes enjoining good and forbidding evil with someone whose work is spreading corruption and evil among people.
May Allah make you understand the difference between Qur’an and music.
May Allah guide us to the straight path.
