The Danger of Misplaced Blame.
The tares in the church are many and spread so widely down to its roots that they often seem determined to choke the wheat.
Yet one thing I know clearly is: the Owner of the Church has already settled the matter, saying,
"Upon this rock I will build My Church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it" (Matthew 16:18).
Pastor E.A Adeboye is not your president, just as other pastors, imams, or traditional religious leaders are not. Those entrusted with governing the nation should be held accountable for hardship, insecurity, and the welfare of the people.
For a lasting solution, let's stop shifting responsibility and face governance together, not the Church.
However, the last time I checked, the 1st and 2nd citizens of Nigeria (President and Vice President) are Muslims. This is simply a reminder to those who are quick to accuse the brethren(the church ) that responsibility for governance rests with elected leaders.
Enough of religious bigotry,
Mr/Mrs accuser, for your information and before you vent anger on me, go and check my posts.
As a Nigerian and true patriot, I have been airing my opinions and raising my voice on national issues for a long time, not just today. We are all in this together.
Let me digress a bit to still express my traumatic pains over the students and teachers recently kidnapped in Oyo-State as well as the other abductees across the nation; May God arise for their rescue, and save our land from the invasion of the evil ones terrorizing us🙏 😢 😢.
To be realistic, the voice of one crying in the wilderness for truth and righteousness is neither accusational nor hypocritical.
It does not vent anger through the wrong channels. Rather, it confronts issues directly, calls for truth, and hits harder where responsibility truly lies.
The Redeemed Church (RCCG) like many other churches, is not only in Nigeria but in numerous nations within and outside Africa.
The Church does not control the armed forces, mineral resources, security architecture, or the affairs of NIGERIA.
This is not to say that religious leaders are above accountability. Pastors, imams, and other faith leaders should be accountable within their respective spheres, just as public office holders should be accountable within theirs.
However, when it comes to national policies, security, economic management, and governance, the primary responsibility rests with those whom the people elected and entrusted with the affairs of the nation not the other way.
As a citizen, blogger or content creator;
It is normal if you do not like a pastor or his church. That is your right. But please stop blackmailing the Church or the head in the name of fighting for the nation except you have a hidden agenda against the church or you're a tool/pawn in the hand of anti gospel activist.
Hold leaders accountable. Demand good governance. Speak truth to power.
Pray for/Leave the Church to Christ, its Head.
My submission.
