WIFE BEEN A HELP MATE AND NOT WOMAN (GENESIS 2:25)
Now, although Adam and his wife were both naked, neither of them felt any shame.
Many years ago we found ourselves discussing about the subject above and it was so interesting that many light came into our spirits then we understood why certain marriages have issues and others don't although we are still learning and growing so what I will bring up is my little understanding.
The term wife is most commonly applied to a woman in a union sanctioned by law (including religious law), but not to a woman in an informal cohabitation relationship, which may be known as a girlfriend, partner, cohabitant, significant other, concubine, mistress, etc.
A wife is a woman whom you have conquered (conquered here means the woman you have won her and married), and a stranger's woman is one whom you have not yet known.
Prov.18.22 - The man who finds a wife finds a treasure and receives favor from the LORD.
Prov.31.10 - Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is worth more than precious rubies.
The point to note here are that
1. Woman is a general name used for all female genders
2. A woman can be a random person who you might have little or not relationship with.
3. A woman could be your mother, sister friend (who you don't have romantic relationship with in terms of marriage) or co-worker in the office or even a church member.
Apostle Paul address the issues so much when he told us from the book of Ephesians 5:28-33 where he showed us the responsibilities of both the husband and wife to each other.
The truth is that we have so much abuse a lot of things in the body of Christ no wonder then a wife who is married to a man will choose to obey in totality to her boss in the office and her pastor in the Church rather than her husband and please I am not saying it is wrong but it should be balance because your husband is your first pastor in the house. Yes I understand that most men don't even know their spiritual responsibility.
