Kidnapped Kaduna Cleric, Rev. Anthony Lamba, Reportedly Dies In Captivity

According to a statement issued by Rev. Alari Alari of ECWA Kasuwan Magani DCC, the Church has announced with deep sorrow the passing of Rev. Anthony Lamba, who died while in captivity after being kidnapped alongside his wife on July 24, 2025.

The statement revealed that while Rev. Lamba’s wife was later released following the payment of a ₦5 million ransom, the abductors continued to hold the cleric, demanding a motorcycle as an additional condition for his release.

“Sadly, while arrangements were being made to deliver the motorcycle, Rev. Lamba fell seriously ill and passed away in the camp,” the statement read.

A memorial service in his honor has been scheduled to hold at his hometown, Kallah, on Sunday, October 19, 2025.

The statement further called on Christians and the public to continue praying for the Church and the bereaved family.

“Let us continue to pray for the Church of God and the family he left behind,” Rev. Alari urged.

We are raising at least 1 million naira to support Daddy and the Church.
He said the money will go a long way to help them feed the members and also take care of the security men.

The man is not even bothered about himself but we are bothered.

We will be using his son's account number. I have spoken to both him and his son, and he gave permission.

Just for clarity and transparency, he never asked that we send him money; he even insisted we focus on the Church, but I told him I want 30% to go to his account, it's a seed from our community to him directly, and 70% to the Church’s account.

This is apostle Ezekiel Dachomo, the man of God that nobody wants to talk about in Nigeria today. Still, his impacts and trial of faith is shaking the world. He's an example of apostle Paul and Peter of old when it comes to persecution, temptation and, trials that comes with our christian's faith.

As the matter of fact, we do not need to read the book of acts to know what the Apostles of old suffered for the sake of Christ; just get close to this man; he's a living testament himself and you would see for yourself the same same things written in the bible concerning the suffering of the Apostles.

You want to talk about persecutions, trials of faith or ministering at the face of death? He has seen it all. His house was burnt down, his church burnt down, car burnt down. What about some of his church members who refused to deny Jesus? These ones also were k!lled and burnt alive to de@th. What else can we talk about? the man has seen all.

Ministering in a church with no roof and chairs, preaching and saving souls whom you can see now and in the next minute you don't see them alive again. And sometimes right at your presence the terrorists would attacked and k!ll them, while you manage to escape, only to return to the scene to see the lifeless bodies of people you preached to just a moment ago and you and you alone would have to burry them and tell others about the story. ....

he stood alone, like a voice in the wilderness and cried and the world is shaking.

Man of God, our hearts are with you. And if there's anything you'll have me do from here, I'll do it.

May God continue to empower you, and help you to fulfill his will for this generation.

Good evening fellow Ministers of the Lord, it has become extremely urgent to pass this information around for the consumption of our innocent teeming members as follows:

1. Our members should be extremely careful about buying meat in the market these days because there is influx of contaminated and poisoned beef around.
2. They must be sure of the source of any meat they are patronizing please.
3. If it is possible we can go on meat dry fasting for these days especially beef. Please, to be forewarned is to be forearmed. Kindly find a way of stepping this information to our members. May the Lord guide and guard his children. Thank you and Gid bless and keep us from every evil.

TOPIC: GOD'S WILL DOES NOT DEPEND ON YOU

The drama gets more interesting as Jonah challenges God's determination to save a repentant nation!

He expressed his anger in verses 1-2 which showed that his disobedience was due to the fact that God had used him against his wish.

The good news about life is that there is a God who rules over the entire universe and all that happens therein is the expression of His will and is for His glory.

This is a lesson Jonah had to learn the hard way.

The same Jonah who accused God of injustice was now angry with God because He allowed a plant that shielded him from the scorching sun to wilt and dry!

Many church members today will gladly query God for granting our supposed enemies the opportunity to repent and obtain forgiveness and salvation. Always seek to follow the will of God.

QUESTION: As a Christian, what should be done to the terrorists ravaging communities across Nigeria, especially as they affect you directly?

TEXT: I JOHN 2:7-17
TOPIC: LIVING IN THE LIGHT

Physical light is good for so many things, including life and survival. It is also a symbol of purity and righteousness. We are told in the text that God is the light and that whoever has fellowship with Him will live in this light.

This fellowship refers to the relationship all believers in Christ have with God through faith in Jesus Christ. So, if we are in God by faith in Jesus Christ, we are living in the light and the darkness has no power over our lives.

The light is the new life we receive from the moment we confess Jesus as Saviour while the darkness refers to living in sin and rebellion against God.

Those who live in this light will overcome the evil one and will not submit to loving this world because the love of God the Father is in them. These words should encourage you to live in the light. That is, to live by faith in the Son of God who loves us and gave Himself up for our salvation.

QUESTION: Can you honestly say that you are living in the light?

PRAYER: Thank You, dear Lord, for the privilege of knowing You and the grace to live in the light. Help me to not deviate into the dark, in Jesus name. Amen.
