PART 5 — TURN YOUR EYES TO SPIRITUAL THINGS

Bringing the message to a serious conclusion, the Man of God emphasized the place of genuine repentance in dealing with the influence of the devil.

He explained that prayer alone is not a substitute for repentance and obedience. Where there is genuine repentance, a person turns away from the things that give the devil room to operate in their life.

He then encouraged us that if we want to make it in this Christian journey, we must turn our eyes away from earthly things and set them on spiritual things.

The message left us with a serious responsibility: to be careful about the voices we listen to, to verify them through the Word of God, and to keep our hearts focused on the things of the Spirit.

PART 4 — DO NOT BE DECEIVED

The Man of God further explained that the devil knows many things about our lives. He knows our feelings, understands our weaknesses, and knows how to use them to influence us.

Because of this, he warned us not to allow every thought or idea that comes into our minds to control us.

He emphasized that a Christian must not simply follow an idea because it feels right or because it comes strongly to the mind. It must first be examined in the light of God’s Word.

He warned that if a person obeys a voice or instruction that contradicts God’s Word, they may unknowingly be obeying a demonic influence.

This is why spiritual discernment and the knowledge of God’s Word are so important.

PART 3 — VERIFY THE VOICE FIRST

The Man of God emphasized the importance of verifying the voice before obeying it.

He gave an illustration from the story of Cain and Abel, explaining how a voice influenced Cain to kill his brother Abel. After Cain had committed the act, he heard another voice—the voice of God.

Through this illustration, he showed us how seriously we must take the voices that influence our lives. The important question is not simply whether we hear a voice, but whose voice we are hearing and whether it agrees with the Word of God.

He also referred us to Matthew 4:1–9, where the devil spoke to Jesus and attempted to influence Him. Yet Jesus responded with the Word of God.

The lesson was clear: every voice must be tested against God’s Word.

PART 2 — LET THE WORD OF GOD GUIDE YOU

The Man of God warned us about the danger of listening to and obeying voices without first examining where they come from. He emphasized that hearing a voice can be dangerous, because a voice can influence a person’s actions and decisions.

He therefore encouraged us to allow the Word of God to guide us. He explained that anyone who allows a voice to control them without measuring it against the Word of God is putting themselves in danger.

He reminded us that we are not supposed to obey every idea that comes into our minds. Every thought and instruction must be examined by the Word of God.

If it does not correspond with the Word of God, it should not be obeyed.

PART 1 — WHICH VOICE ARE YOU LISTENING TO?

The Man of God introduced the message by reminding us that no one is empty; there is something inside every person. He asked us to consider the voice speaking to us and, more importantly, which spirit that voice is coming from.

He challenged us to ask ourselves: Which spirit are we listening to, and which spirit are we obeying?

He explained that God is a Spirit, and the devil is also a spirit. Therefore, Christians must be careful about the voices they hear and obey. He warned us that the devil also speaks and can disguise himself, even appearing in a form that seems good and harmless.

The message therefore began with a serious question: Christians, which voice are you listening to?
