120Theologically

120Theologically Theology for the contemporary Christian As our name suggest, we place premium importance on theology because all that we do revolves around it.

120 Theologically is a member of the body of Christ worldwide, saddled with the responsibility of helping followers of Christ appreciate, understand and apply the word of God as it confronts our current realities. We believe that the knowledge of God leads to submission, reverence and obedience to God’s will above ours

Our values
• Building a contemporary christian community living to please God.

• To encourage academic pursuit among believers, enabling them to form a biblical worldview that will push to redefine what we believe about intellectualism, psychology, and rationality in our circle of influence.
• Building responsible people willing to be accountable to the body of Christ and to fellow brethren.
• Preserving truths and defending godly principles and practices that has been lost to humanistic thinking.
• To use social media as a tool to reach contemporary believers and non-believers through wholesome conversation and studies on the Bible.
• Creating physical engagements through which people can meet and fellowship together.

The mere desire to have a deepened relationship with your Maker has never been, and will never be accomplished intuitively; it takes the hard work of going beyond the surface of Scripture for yourself.
That kind of growth takes discipline. It takes commitment, above all, it requires humble reliance on the Holy Spirit, who illumines the Word He inspired.

Our Bible Seminar equips you for that and much more. Sign up!

Liberty That Kneels

Freedom is not weightless. It presses on the will, exposes desire, and reveals what governs the heart.
We began the year together by sitting with Scripture and asking careful questions about Christian freedom, how it is given by grace, and how it is lived with responsibility. No rush for easy answers, just time to think, listen, and be shaped.

“For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through lov...

As we come to the close of another year, we give thanks to God who builds His Church, sustains His people, and keeps His word faithful in every season. What we have seen and shared through 120 Theologically this year is not the work of human wisdom or strength, but the fruit of grace at work among us.

Thank you to everyone who labored, prayed, showed up, asked hard questions, and submitted themselves to the discipline of learning Christ rightly. May all that has been done point us back to the glory of God, the sufficiency of Scripture, and the hope of the gospel entrusted to the Church.

To Him be the praise, now and always.

Grateful for a great time of learning and fellowship at our Reformation Conference 2025, organized by Jos Reformed Theological College in partnership with 120 Theologically. It was a time of truth, renewal, and conviction rooted in Scripture alone.

The Reformation reminds us still — the Church is always being reformed by the Word of God.

Day 1 of the Reformation Conference was a solid start.
Pastor Gwali Melton walked us through Sola Scriptura and the story of the Reformation - a needed reminder that God’s Word stands above every human authority.

We continue today, Friday 31st October at 3:30 p.m. as we look at The Reformation and African Church Traditions, Continuities and Discontinuities, Ecclesiastical Corruption Then and Now, and The Reformation and African Church Reform.

The call to reform didn’t end in the 16th century, it continues with us.

Most have heard of the Reformation, but few understand what it truly was.
Not a protest, but a return to Scripture when men replaced it, to grace when salvation was sold, to Christ when the Church had lost sight of Him.
It wasn’t something new, but the recovery of something ancient – the gospel itself.
Join us this week for our Reformation Conference!

In today’s Nigerian and African church, the gospel has been stretched, twisted, and in some cases outright replaced. From prosperity-driven distortions to personality cults, from theological elitism to celebrity hype, what’s often preached is not what Christ proclaimed.

But a counterfeit gospel cannot save. And a reduced gospel cannot sanctify.

Join us as we return to the heart of the good news: Christ crucified, risen, and reigning.

Inspired by Tony Reinke’s "12 Ways Your Phone Is Changing You," this discourse poses a sobering question: Is your phone forming you more than your faith?
In a world of endless scrolls and buzzing alerts, our screens have become more than tools, they are silent instructors, shaping what we think, love, and believe.

Before algorithms disciple us more than Scripture, let’s pause, examine, and recalibrate our hearts toward the God who speaks.

Join us this Sunday, August 10th, as we go deeper.

Day 2 in pictures

We saw how Christianity isn’t just one among many worldviews, it stands alone.
No leader of any world religion has made the claims Jesus made, nor lived the life He lived.
From His sinless nature to His resurrection, Christ isn’t merely different, He is incomparable.

There’s none like Him. There never will be.
