I have been unusually silent for a while concerning the happenings in our nation, not because I no longer care, but because it is heartbreaking watching evil, pain, killings, hardship, and injustice gradually become a normal part of our daily lives as Nigerians.
Now children are being kidnapped, innocent citizens are being slaughtered, and even teachers are being beheaded in cold blood, yet many are already moving on as though these things are ordinary. How inhumane has it become that little children can be kidnapped, tortured, traumatized, and treated so wickedly for doing absolutely nothing except living their lives?
This is painful, disturbing, and unacceptable.
What once shook the nation deeply now passes like ordinary news. People are grieving, families are living in fear, young people are losing hope, and many have become tired, numb, and silent. That silence is dangerous.
We must never get comfortable with wickedness. We must never normalize bloodshed, insecurity, oppression, corruption, and the suffering of innocent people. A nation that loses its ability to mourn, speak, and seek justice is slowly losing its soul.
Nigeria needs healing. Nigeria needs justice. Nigeria needs righteous leadership. Above all, Nigeria desperately needs God.
May God have mercy on our land and help us never become too used to darkness that we stop crying out for light. 🇳🇬🙏🏾
