*SUB-THEME: RESPONSE TO GRACE*
*TEXT: ROMANS 14:10-13*
*TOPIC: NOT CONDEMNING OTHERS*
*📖 BIBLE READING : ROMANS 14:10-13*
10: You, then, why do you judge your brother or sister ? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat.
11: It is written: “ ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’ ”
12: So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.
13: Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in the way of a brother or sister.
*MESSAGE: NOT CONDEMNING OTHERS*
In this passage, Paul addresses the tendency of believers to judge or look down on one another over disputable matters - issues of personal conviction rather than core doctrine.
He cautions that the strong should not despise the weak, and the weak should not judge the strong because they are all products of grace.
He reminds the Christians that all shall stand before the judgement seat of God, where each person will give an account of their own life.
Therefore, instead of passing judgement on fellow believers, Paul exhorts them to focus on building others up and not placing any stumbling blocks or obstacles in their way.
No one is perfect. This should make us humble and prevent us from casting stones at others.
Are you fond of criticising others?
Stop it and learn to encourage one another.
*REFLECTION:*
Do not condemn but encourage.
*PRAYER:*
Lord, help me to build others and not destroy them. Amen.
*MEMORY VERSE FOR THE MONTH:*
"It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions and to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age." *- (Titus 2:12)*
*TODAY’S BIBLE READING PLAN:* Job 38-
