All of them had felt it that night.
The shadow realm was suddenly invaded with light such as Mitch had never known.
Cass found himself aloud with songs, overcome by an unbreakable desire to sing.
Even the Hermit was drawn out of the Courts Of Mysteries.
Following Malich’s intel, they had arrived in time; just as the child gave his first cry. Hormie stood outside as the rest went inside; though he did join them as they knelt before the child in the manger.
“You would think it would be a silent night, wouldn’t you?” Ermie said, looking around.
The others could hear it as well. The animals in the stable were not quiet, but they weren’t noisy either. They emitted a unified sound that sounded so soft and beautiful, one would think they were on purpose, serenading the new born child as his mother reached to rearrange the swaddling clothes he was wrapped in.
As they rose, the hermit’s body was suddenly je**ed as if it had been hit with a powerful dose of electricity. The inscriptions on his body began to emit bright light of different colors as he was lifted off the floor. Now hovering, the light grew till he was completely covered with it. Malich turned to the hermit in concern when his own body je**ed as well. Out of him emerged several circles of light; each circle having a different color. Before him, all saw as the circles suddenly merged as one.
For the first time, all the paragons gasped.
“Could it be?…..” Mmrrh asked.
Ermie nodded as he looked.
“Yes brother, it is…. A timeline of timelines has just emerged before us.”
It was at this point that Ermie realized that he was glowing himself. He turned in excitement to the others when he caught Mitch looking quite disturbed.
“Mitch…”
“My powers Ermie…. I appear to have lost them around him.”
Mmrrh put his hand on Mitch. Looking at him, Mitch noticed for the first time that Mmrrh’s eyes were clear. Where there had been blue light burning, now appeared kind eyes with blue eyeballs looking back at him.
“His name is in every part of me and yet beyond me!” The Hermit declared.
“This is him! Ha-Khadmond has come to the earth again! A son has been given!”
All bowed again. No words could describe this moment…. For the Paragons were looking at the Word himself made flesh.
It was silent for quite a while before Cass spoke. “Can we leave now?”
“Where are you off to in such a hurry?”
“Nowhere actually; I just do not want to be blamed if he ever looks at a tree with desire...”
