A Prayer for September 🙏🏾

Welcome to September — a month of fresh grace, divine direction and beautiful testimonies.

I pray that as you step into this new month, the Lord will go before you and make every crooked path straight. May doors that seemed impossible open before you, and may God position you in places your strength could never have taken you.

May September carry good news for you and your household. Where there has been delay, may there be divine acceleration. Where there has been confusion, may God give you clarity. Where there has been heaviness, may joy arise. Where you have experienced disappointment, may the Lord give you undeniable testimonies.

May the works of your hands prosper. May your efforts produce results. May you receive favour before God and before men. You will not labour in vain, you will not miss divine opportunities, and you will not be found in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Throughout this month, may the presence of God preserve you, His wisdom guide you, His grace distinguish you, and His goodness speak loudly in your life.

I declare that September will be better than the months before it. You will see the hand of God. You will experience divine intervention. You will have reasons to rejoice, reasons to testify, and reasons to say, “The Lord has done great things for me.”

The foundation of what I started was laid when I was a child and a teenager.

I was just 14 years old when I had my first encounter with God and received my calling into ministry. Then, at just 18, The Exceptionals Tent Gospel Centre began.

Looking back, I now understand how important it is to intentionally lay a strong foundation in the lives of young people.

My own encounter with God happened while preparing for a children's memory verse competition organized by ECWA Bukuru DCC. I was representing my LCC at the DCC level, and I was trying to memorize the Book of Matthew for the competition. Somewhere in that process, while studying and memorizing God's Word, my eyes were opened to God in a way that changed my life forever. That was the beginning of my journey with Him.

My beloved Aunty, Ruth Zong Job, can bear witness to this story because she was my coach at the time. God bless you, Aunty Ruth.

But that encounter was not the only thing God used to shape me.

He used different people, platforms and environments—my Sunday School teachers, Boys Brigade, Awana Club, GGDM Teenagers Class, and many others—to teach, shape, discipline and model my life.

Now, I have chosen to do the same for the next generation.

The first set of teenagers God entrusted to us have already graduated into adulthood. They are doing well, and by the grace of God, many of them remain deeply rooted in Christ. To the glory of God, this is now the second set.

“Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6

That Scripture captures the heart of what we are trying to do.

Our responsibility is to lay the foundation.

We want to teach teenagers about God, life, responsibility, purpose, character and faith, while creating an environment where they can build friendships, express themselves, have fun and grow together.

We mix the teaching with a variety of games and engaging activities because I learned from my experience in Awana Club that young people can learn deep and meaningful lessons while having fun.

So, dear parents, send your teenagers over.

And if you are a teenager reading this, the floor is open for you. Come over.

Come learn.
Come grow.
Come play.
Come ask questions.
Come discover purpose.
Come build friendships.
Come know God.

The Exceptionals Teens Club is not just another teenagers' programme.

It is our little contribution toward raising a generation with a strong foundation.

And for me, it is deeply personal—because someone once invested in me when I was 14.

Now, it is my turn to invest in them.

The foundation starts early.
