Clergy School is a sacred time set apart. It is a retreat where clergy and their wives gather in unity to withdraw from the busyness of life and intentionally abide in the presence of God. It is a time of deep engagement with the Word, fervent prayer, spiritual renewal, and shared fellowship. Through carefully curated teachings delivered by facilitators, hearts are refreshed, faith is strengthened, and vision is realigned for effective ministry.

We give thanks to God for this gracious opportunity to learn, to grow, and to be renewed as we wait on Him, for “those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength” (Isaiah 40:31).

ANGLICAN DIOCESE OF JOS
Summary of Missions and Evangelism Activities in 2025

Following his appointment as Director of Missions in January 2025, Ven. Dr. Chijioke O. G. Nlem presented a five-year Strategic Plan (2025–2030) for revitalizing missions and evangelism in the Diocese, which was approved by the Bishop of Jos, Rt. Rev’d Dr. Ephraim J. Gongden. Implementation began immediately with structured efforts focused on soul-winning, discipleship, and church planting.

Key Activities in 2025
• Diocese-wide mission awareness through clergy consultations, seminars, and archdeaconry visits.
• Leadership and evangelism training across selected archdeaconries.
• Recruitment and mobilization of mission partners.
• Strengthening of discipleship structures, including the revision and rededication of the Diocesan Discipleship Manual (The New Believer’s Journey).
• Mission prayer mobilization headlined by a Diocesan Missions Prayer Retreat in August 2025.
• Extensive preparation for the Diocesan Evangelism/Soul-Winning Outreach in Angware Archdeaconry.

Angware Archdeaconry for Jesus Christ Outreach (8–13 December 2025)
• Over 100 evangelists participated and ministered in multiple communities.
• House-to-house evangelism resulted in over 390 souls won.
• New discipleship classes were initiated.
• Requests for church planting emerged from previously unreached communities.
• Decision taken to plant two new churches at Bayan-Dutse and Gada.

Post-Outreach Outcomes
• A new church was planted at Bayan-Dutse on 14 December 2025.
• A worship center was secured for the upcoming church plant at Gada.
• Follow-up and discipleship of new converts are ongoing in collaboration with Angware Archdeaconry leadership.

Conclusion
The Diocese gives thanks to God for a fruitful year marked by salvation, community impact, and church planting. Continued prayers, land acquisition, and financial support are urgently needed to consolidate the work and build places of worship for the new churches.
