@>-- FADHAA'IL (VIRTUES) FOR THE MONTH OF MUHARRAM AND THE DAY OF AASHOORAH (10TH OF MUHARRAM) @>-- "Muharram is Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'Allah's Month" [Bukhaari & Muslim]"Muharram is one of the four most sacred months" [Soorah Taubah, Aayah 36 & Bukhaari & Muslim]"The best fasts after Ramadhaan, are those in Allah's month, Muharram" [Bukhaari & Muslim]"One fast in Muharram, equals the reward of 30 fasts" [Tabraani & Targheeb]"One year's minor sins are forgiven by fasting on Aashoorah" [Bukhaari & Muslim]"Rasoolullaah Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam most preferred to fast on Aashoorah" [Bukhaari]"Rasoolullaah Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam encouraged the fast of Aashooraah" [Aboo Daawood]"To fast on Aashoorah is also the Sunnah of Hadhrat Moosa Alayhi Salaam" [Muslim]"To oppose (be different from) the Jews & Christians, one should fast on 9th & 10th of Muharram" [Muslim]"One can fast on the 9th & 10th Muharram or the 10th & 11th of Muharram" [Bayhaaqi]So, to get these rewards, try to Insha Allah fast as much as you can in Muharram, especially the combination of Aashoorah fasts. Also encourage others because:"Whoever revives a Sunnah from my Sunnah and the people practice it, will have the same reward of those who practice it without their reward diminishing" [Ibn Maajah]
