Good evening great honored people of the most high.
I welcome us to Hour of Grace, Word Alive.
Word Alive is an integral part of what the Lord called me into... liberating the World with the Word.
Through the preaching and teaching of the Word, Life is gained and transformation takes place.
The Word of God lies the essence of life.
It is in the Word I have discovered myself and my purpose.
Whatever a man discovered about God must in capacity to transfer to a generation and even the ones to come.
To maintain godliness and standards of God, Revelations must be passed or communicated.
Whatever a man has and given that cannot be communicated and transferable is fake.So, I welcome us tonight to Word Alive...a place we use the internet to connect with one another and instead of misusing time and resources...we can turn it for our edification.
I have been talking on the topic: HARDNESS OF THE HEART
Let me quickly recap some points to refresh your memory on what has be taught.
When you believe more of the natural, it will be hard to walk in the Supernatural.
It's our Year of Supernatural Experience and our month of Abundance.
There are three types of hardness of the heart that I started to share with you and I had already treated one last week.
TYPES OF HARDNESS OF THE HEART
1. Heart hardened by God.
This is done by God to achieve divine purpose and to display His Glory and purpose on a person or a nation.
Exodus 9:12 And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them; as the LORD had spoken unto Moses.
God can harden a man's heart who refuses hinders what He wants to achieve..
For God to demonstrate His power and glory...the Lord makes such a person to harden his heart.
But at the end, such a person must have been an instrument to which God displays His Power.
I will pick up from here tonight.
2. Second type of hardness of heart is *Disbelieving form of hardness of the heart*
This is when a believer though believed God but by virtue of life challenge, drift in faith and doubt God. At this point they swift and behave like unbelievers. Mark 6:45,49-52
A man can harden his heart based on unbelieve state of the heart.
Mark 6:49 But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out:
6:50 For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.
6:51 And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.
6:52 For they considered not the miracle of the loaves: for their heart was hardened.
This passage talked about Jesus, after he had finished feeding the multitude. He left the disciples.
While returning...the disciples assumed him to be a ghost.
The Bible says in verse 52, they wondered how comes Jesus could be seen like dat and that act of the condition of their heart, the Bible call it hardness of the heart.
They never wondered and meditate on the miracle of the feeding of the multitudes with few loaves of Bread and few fishes.
They wouldn't have be surprised if they have carefully consider the miracle of the feeding...
Anytime a believe forgets certain ways God had intervened in their lives and doubt the ability of God in a challenging moments; the Bible calls that state of your heart a hardened one.
Our belief In God must be on a consistent pace.
People of God, what has God done in the past that you have forgotten?
Every act of God's intervention in your life, is to give you greater confidence of what you will face in the future to trust him to do it.
They considered not...
We still have many that have not considered the good deeds of the Lord.
The disciples were not just ordinary men bcus, they had be with JESUS...but fear could still have place in their hearts.
Many people profess Jesus and are even church addict....but over little of life challenge, they give up.
Hardness of the heart will make a believer to start quoting scriptures to support their evil acts.
U will hear them saying "heaven help those who help themselves"..
Hebrews 3:12 Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
3:13 But exhort one another daily, while it is called To day; lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.
Paul is calling on the believers and not unbelievers to take heed!
A believer's heart can depart from the Living God.
What is the Living God?
God's Word.
Verse 13...a believer can be hardened to forsake the way of the Lord.
Sometimes you see alot happening and you can tell if truly God is there or not.
But, when you take heed...you will be able to look back and see the Faithfulness of God.
Hebrews 3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
3:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
3:10 Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways.
3:11 So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.
The children of Israel provoked God bcus, despite the miracles God did...they still never believed God to the depth.
Ephesians 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Vanity of the mind🤔
Emptiness of the mind is dead.
Vanity of the mind is a state in which a believer consider not God or anything He can do and tried to help himself
At a time, the disciples felt helpless and they forget the miracle that Jesus just performed in feeding the multitudes.
A believer's way or heart can be drift from God and His Word bcus of Unbelieve state of the heart.
A song says,
Why you dey do like say, you no sabi your God?
Generations of Israelites were wasted in the wilderness bcus they didn't considered all that the Lord did before their very own eyes.
When heart is guarded, your knowledge of God can be darkened.
Darkened in the sense that, you alienated from the truth about God.
Let me say...the true test of loyalty is ability to wait and behave well.
Waiting defines your christianity.
To the glory of God...I have had a privilege to receive prayer requests...
But hardly will you hear people telling you all that the Lord had done in the past.
Hebrews 3:9 When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years.
Hebrews 3:7 Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice,
3:8 Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness:
This is what Paul is now advising me and you.
