Uba Sani Calls for Stronger Partnership With Religious Leaders to Sustain Peace in Kaduna
Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has called for sustained collaboration between government and religious leaders to deepen peace, unity and inclusive governance in the state.
The governor made the call on Thursday at the 2026 Leadership Retreat of the Assembly of God Northern Nigeria (AGNN) in Kakuri, Kaduna. His remarks were delivered by the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice.
Governor Sani commended AGNN and Christian leaders for promoting peace, tolerance and moral values, noting that their efforts have contributed to the relative harmony currently enjoyed in Kaduna State.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to listening to religious leaders and working with them, stressing that effective governance requires partnership with faith-based and community stakeholders.
The governor assured that his government remains committed to protecting lives, religious freedom, interfaith harmony and delivering democratic dividends to all citizens.
He also urged church leaders to continue praying for peace, unity and progress in Kaduna State and Nigeria.
Also in attendance was the former governor of Kaduna State, His Excellency Ahmed Mohammed Makarfi.
