BE COURAGEOUS

TEXT: Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thon mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest. Joshua 1:7

Courage is a required necessity to walk with God. Three times God told Joshua to be courageous. Without courage we can't get into our promise land. Courage is what keeps you going despite obvious dangers ahead. Courage is the strength and the very back bone of champions. If David had not encouraged himself in the Lord, he would have lost his wives, children and possessions to the enemy forever. But as soon as he encouraged himself, the situation turned around for his good. 1 Sam 30:6.

The word of God which says; "All things works together for good" is only applicable to the courageous in Christ. The problem is that so many try to seek for courage outside God and anything gotten outside God will fail. It was courage that emboldens David to challenge Goliath.

It was courage that motivated Paul and Silas to sing and praise God inside the prison inspite of the pain and hardship they had gone through for His name, and at the end of it, they were exonerated. Always stay courageous and challenges will give way at your appearance. You never know the littleness of a problem until you confront it.

Prayer: My Father, my Father, As I began to pray, help me to find courage in your word today.

*TOPIC* : *GO FOR REVELATION*

*TEXT*: "It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord." *2 Corinthians 12:1*

Life is beyond what and how we see it.

There is something beyond the natural.

You have to see beyond the natural world.

Every man who made impact in his days contacted unusual revelation that stood him out.

It is what made them fulfill their mission.

Revelation is a driving force.

It propels you to do the unusual.

It makes you understand your purpose on earth; it gives you something to live for.

When you know the time you live in, you will know that you need revelation.

You may be on a venture that is not producing or yielding dividends but there is a revelation behind it that can make it produce.

As you study the scriptures, hunger for revelations.

"It is the spirit that quickened; the flesh profiteth nothing, the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit and they are life" John 6:63.

To experience the power of God, you must have a revelational knowledge of the word of God.

It is revelation that gives life and rise to faith.

Revelations are faith boosters.

In the word of God are wonderous things that keep one soaring while others are crawling.

No wonder Apostle Paul declared "And I went up by revelation..." Galatians 2:2.

*Prayer* : "My Father, My Father! As I begin to pray, open my eyes that I may see wonderous things out of your Word.

GOD'S OUTSTRETCHED ARM

TEXT: And the LORD brought us forth out of Egypt with a mighty hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terribleness, and with signs, and with wonders. Deut. 26:8

In the early days of the Church, the believers prayed: "And now, Lord, behold their threatenings and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy Word, by stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus" Acts 4:29-30. They asked the Lord to stretch forth His hand to heal and perform miracles. Evidently, this was the prayer of a baby church.

They had not matured in the things of God and we can see this from God's response. The Bible says, "When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together, and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the Word of God with boldness" Acts 4:31. God did not part the heavens and stretch out His hand to perform the miracles they were asking for. Rather, He filled them with the Holy Ghost. Then, the Bible says, "By the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people" Acts 5:12.

This makes us know that as believers, we're God's outstretched arm. You are the temple of the Holy Spirit; His dwelling place and living headquarters. God moves through your hands. This is why you must always be sensitive to the needs and problems of those around you. You are God's outstretched arm of Salvation, hope and healing to a hurting world. You're the solution the world is looking for. Arise and make God proud by being a vessel unto honour.

Prayer: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to walk in the reality of who I am.

THE WORDS OF A BELIEVER

TEXT: Strengthen ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. Say to them that are of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your God will come with vengeance, even God with a recompence; he will come and save and save you. Isaiah 35:3-4
The words of a believer should strengthen people and not pull them down, It should Rive people reason to hold on and not give up. Hence scripture says "Say ye to the righteous that it shall be well with him: For they shall eat the fruit of their doings." Isa 3:10

There are people who needs encouragement to press on joyfully, your words of testimony of how God did it for you would lift up their faith. It would make them know their harvest time would also manifest incase they are yet to see the reward of their input in what they are doing. Let people look up to your words and love to have you around. Let them thank God to have known you because you will not allow them to drown in sorrow even if they are over taken in a fault. With love and empathy you will help to restore them on their feet again.

Galatians 6:1 says "Brethen if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual restore such one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself least thou also be tempted." Believers are not expected to be judgmental in their speech always condemning, downplaying peoples strength and exaggerating their weakness. It is better to be silent if you don't have words that will lift up people than to add to their pains. Scriptures says in James 5:16, "confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another that confess ye may be healed..." because God expects His children to come to maturity on how to relate with one another in love. Hence it also says in Colossians 4:6, "Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to

answer every man." I pray for you. may your words always bring joy and gladness to others. May you rule over your spirit and always be a blessing to others.

Prayer: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to be a blessing to others with my words.

WORRY NOT!

TEXT: Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Matthew 6:25

Worry does not add anything positive to a man's destiny, rather it destroys it because it it kills one's ability to reason one's way out of that challenge. And if care is not taken, it leads to other health challenges such as high blood pressure, cardiac arrest etc. There is no mountain that cannot be brought down if only you have peace and sought the solution in God. There is no valley too low that cannot be assessed. In every challenge is the solution, you need the right mind and spirit to assess it.

Our anchor text asked a question "Is not life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Why? Most things men worry about are trivial, they worry for their upkeep forgetting that God who owns their lives is more than able to provide for them. The Almighty God who is the All in ALL, the I AM THAT I AM, the Ever Present Help in time of need is all you need in every circumstance, and all His children would ever need are available in Him. He prepared them before He put them on earth just like He prepared the garden of Eden before placing Adam in it, So why are you worrying. "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?"

Child of God, God is committed in taking care of you.

Prayer: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, help me to look up to you despite challenges and stop worrying.

NOTHING AGAINST THE TRUTH

TEXT: For we can do nothing against the truth, but for the truth. 2Cor. 13:8

There are several things which the devil lined up against the counsel of God in the lives of believers in order to make them doubt God and later backslide. His ultimate goal is against their salvation. The devil is angry that he is doomed for hell with no opportunity ever to repent and since he has lost it forever, he fights the truth in the lives of believers so that they can fall for his lie and end up like him.

Child of God, do not fall for the tricks of the devil, go for the truth, uphold it, it will stand the test of time. Therefore, whatever any man, physician, herbalist, false prophet or maybe yourself had told you that is not in line with the word of God which is the truth, is a lie. Medical doctors may have given you a report and the symptoms seem to be real because you are feeling them: that is a fact, it is not the truth. The truth is that you are healed. You have been healed even before that sickness came up and that healing is permanent, not circumstantial, so command that sickness back to where it came from. "With His stripes we are healed". Isa. 53:5. Sicknesses and diseases are of the Egyptians and are not part of God's people. If you hearken to the voice of the LORD doing what is expected of you, God says, "I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee. Exo. 16:25.

So you are not the sick looking for healing, you are the healed that the devil is trying to make sick and if you refuse his package, he flees from you.

The truth is very sure to prevail; nothing can be done against it but for it. In your life the truth shall always find expression.

Prayer: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, whatever is fighting the truth in my life and destiny, be destroyed by fire.

LEARN TO THINK

Text: For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it. Luke 14:28

High fliers are great thinkers. To go up, you must first sit down and think. Most of the persons, who experience failures in life, do because they refuse to think. They think they are fast, but they end up falling. If you can think, you will not stink. Even God said to us, "Come let us reason together..." You are about to enroll your children into school, you have to sit down and think. You do not enroll them into a school because that is the school your friend's children attend. There are valuable questions you have to ask yourself and answer when you think: "This school I want to enroll my kids into, can we afford the fees without borrowing? Will other aspects of our responsibilities as parents suffer drastically because of our enrolling them into such school? Is the school accessible?

When you sincerely answer the questions and they are unfavorable to you, you fix them into another good school that also meets your needs and you can afford it. God will perfect everything about those children by His Spirit knowing you are operating in His wisdom. How can you continually beg for school fees for your children every academic session? Or your household cannot feed because all your income goes into school fees? It means you are not wise. If you can sit with yourself and engage in thinking before taking decision, you will walk wisely and bring glory to God. When we think rightly, we operate in grace because we give room for the Holy Spirit to impress in our hearts what to do. I pray for you, you will not know shame as you give yourself to right thinking.

Prayer: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, the power to engage my mind in profitable thinking, come alive in me by fire.

THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD

TEXT: Ye are the light of the World. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Matt. 5:14

Our opening text conspicuously let us know that as believers we are the light of the World. It didn't say we are the light of the Church, but rather of the world (cosmos). Cosmos is a Greek word which represents the world's system. Jesus is the light of the Church; the Church is the light of the world. Just the way the moon reflects the light from the sun, so the believer is to reflect the glorious light that proceed from Jesus.

The degree to which the moon is well positioned is what determines the degree to which it can radiate the light from the sun. This therefore is a good indicator of the major reasons why believers don't seem to act as light of the world and world changers.

God desires that we become light to the world and world changers; but only changed men can change the world. This therefore calls for a responsibility on your part to come into alignment with the ways of God and by so doing, change the world.

As you behold God's word, you are transformed and that transformation reflects in the world. "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord." 2 Corinthians 3:18

Prayer: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, make me a world changer in Jesus name.

MORE HONOUR FROM GOD

TEXT: What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Psalm 8:4-5.

Honour depends on how you treat somebody. Also, it depends on individuality and maturity of people. Some people get offended at the respect and honour accorded to others, while some others find it difficult to give honour to another.

What many have not realized is that the kingdom of God is a place of honour and respect. It is so evident that God gives man more honour than man could ever give himself or another fellow. He positions you for royalty (1 Peter 2:9a).

As a matter of fact, God takes you from where you are to where you ought to be, if you would let Him. Moreover, our Lord Jesus admonishes that we give honour to whom honour is due (Luke 20:25). However, men of the senses will only be judgmental because they are ruled by their flesh. Only God sees who you really are and values and honours you thereby bringing out the best in you.

Where people saw a shepherd, God saw a king in David. When others saw an old childless man, God saw the father of many nations in Abraham. It does not matter how people see you now. God sees a person of honour and He is outwardly display that honour in your life; So allow Him to take you to that place of honour that will bring glory to His name.

Prayer: My Father! My Father! As I begin to pray, make me a vessel unto honour.

THE GOD OF ALL FLESH 2

TEXT: Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?
Jeremiah 32:27

Child of God, you have to be daring in your faith to receive the the promises of God in your life. Refuse to be deceived by your circumstances. In this Kingdom, we walk by faith, not by sight (2 Cor. 5:7).

Faith is a force that pleases God (Heb. 11:6) Faith sees what God has done and walks in the reality of it. It says what it should be, as God declared it, and not what is happening. It rejoices on the promise of God knowing they would surely manifest, and it is not sad, troubled or bothered at the present situations on ground. It gives no room to doubt by dwelling on how God would bring His promises to pass. With faith it is "God said it", it is a done deal for God is able to do far exceedingly abundantly above all we could think or ask of; for He could do all things.

In 2 Kings 7, in verse 2, a lord on whose hand the king leaned was so foolish to be carried away by the physical happening (famine), that he downplayed the supernatural act of God declared by Elisha. Elisha said "Hear ye the word of the Lord, thus saith the Lord tomorrow about this time shall a measure of fine flour be sold for a shekel in the gate of Samaria."

And the lord said, "Behold if the Lord, would make windows in heaven, might this thing be?" And Elisha said he would see it with his eyes and would not taste of it and as Elisha declared God wrought wonders and brought abundance of food into the City through four leprous men. To bring His word to pass, God didn't even use warriors, but leprous men. What a God of great possibilities! And as for the lord who downplayed the supernatural, right at the gate when abundance had come, the people troded upon him and he died. God does not need to make sense for you to believe Him.

Prayer: My Father, my Father! Thank You for being so faithful. Help my faith Lord.
