Every evening looking at the Sun we say the sun is setting down. And in the morning, again, we say the Sun is rising up. But what actually happens?
The sun remains the same always. It doesn't move. It is actually us or earth that is moving. So when we see the sun setting down, the fact is we are going into the dark. And in the morning when the sun rises up, it's us entering into its light.
This is just an illustration to remind us of how easy and natural it is for imperfect humans to misunderstand things or people. Indeed, none of us is perfect. Everyone stumbles in word or deed. We fight with this imperfection until we are raised to perfection in the new world. But we must be more careful, now, while trying to understand some of Jehovah's ways.
Sometimes while reading the Bible we feel Jehovah should have acted otherwise, or how could Jehovah actually do such a thing. It is true that the faithful and discreet slave helps us to reason with scriptures and provides us abundant information to research and to understand several bible accounts. Yet, on some subjects the Bible is silent. So when we find it hard to understand something from the bible, do we misunderstand Jehovah and Judge his ways right away? Or do we wait patiently and let Jehovah clarify matters in his own time?
If we allow negative doubts enter our mind it causes breaches in our strong wall of faith.
It is happy to note that Jehovah's word provides us ample reason to trust him and his ways completely.
Psalm 77:11,12
"I will remember the works of Jehovah; I will remember your marvelous deeds of long ago. And I will meditate on all your activity, And ponder over your dealings."
Proverbs 3:5
"Trust in Jehovah with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding."
Isaiah 55:9
"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my (Jehovah) ways are higher than your ways, And my thoughts than your thoughts."
