Topic: Cultivating An Attitude Of Sustainable Victory.
Text: Matthew 13:19-23; 7:24-27
Date: 14/08/2022.

We all agreed that we are getting towards the end of the world. All that is happening in our world today is fulfilling scriptures.
2 Timothy 3:1-6; 1 Timothy 4:
What God expects of us even if Satan is ruling, you're not moved.
Matthew 24:
Don't be deceived, Jesus was talking about knowledge.
Cultivating is an agricultural term. Cultivation means you have a seed, you have a time of sowing them, you have a time of taken care of it to maturity and finally harvesting.
So the Christian life is a process.
Jesus died for the sins of the world and by reason of that the curse of Adam is broken. From the time of your salvation to the end of your race, its a battle.
There are two graces in the Christian faith.
(1) Grace for Salvation.
(2) Grace for the Christian Battle.
When you see the Christian life from the beginning that you are born again to fight battles, its guides you better and prepares your mind.
There are Four conditions/categories of heart in Christianity.
(1) The way side is that every one hears the gospel. These are not born again.
The gospel may look simple but it changes a lot of things.
(2) The Rocky side: They are born again but has no root.
(3) The Thorns side: You are born again but have not made up your mind to be grounded because of the cares of this world.
(4) The Good soil: You've allowed the Word to find preeminence.

A wise man hears the Word.
Anyone that hears the Word but has not decided to do the Word shows that the person is not wise. A man that does the Word, is a wise man according to scriptures.
Everyone that is born again is subjected to the storms of life.
The difference between men are the issues of their foundations.
How do you handle your foundation as a believer?
In our Christian life, what God is looking for.

There is no gift of patience, no gift of endurance, no gift of knowledge, no gift of discipline, no gift of prayers; all these must be cultivated.

Nigeria is a country where you have quantitative Christians but low quality, quantitative politics but low quality.

The real you is when you are alone.
Whatever you did not cultivate you can't have it.
God has never been in a hurry to use anyone. We are the ones that should be in a hurry by developing ourselves so God can use us.
Most of us, where we are is as a result of our own doing and not God.
Most of our problems and challenges are as a result of our decisions and perspectives.

In Physics, If you put water on fire in two different pots at 30 minutes intervals and when both starts boiling, the one that was put first and the one put second after 30 minutes will all generate the same 100 Celsius when measured with a thermometer. Quantity of heat is more than the level of heat. But if you measure them by thermometer they are the same. We are not all the same. Our levels of maturity and growth are not the same.
The way God is looking at the world is different and the way God is processing us is different.
Are we ready to contend with our world and our generation.
1 Corinthians 3:1-10.
Carnality is the process of immaturity.
What makes you develop a culture for something? Its because you understand the importance.
Hebrews 12:2.
The reason Jesus went through the shame was because of the joy that was set before him. John 17.
If you don't sit down to cultivate, you can't have.
All the men of God that are great, forsook every other things for God.
You have to sow to reap.
Any physical thing you want to do is always easy but when it comes to prayers and the study of God's word it becomes difficult with that you know there's something divine about it.
Anything gotten fast ends fast.
A Christian is like a palm tree.
Its not how fast we grow but how did we grow.
Where you sow is where you reap.
You sow prayer, you reap prayer.
You sow the Word, you reap the Word.
What you cultivate is what you harvest.
You have to develop certain things as a principle that sustains you and you don't shift.
Growth is a principle

Text: Exodus 15:23-27; 16.
Date: 07/08/2022.

There acts and attitude people display that are directly an act of God.
All the activities that characterized the life of Moses from his birth and his mum's decisions where all directed by God because God had raised Moses to be an instrument for the healing of the world which starts with deliverance from sin.
So Moses was use by God to spark the healing which was Restoration.
They were delivered from Egypt which w as a land of bo***ge. So that was restoration.
Egypt was a type of sin. When the were delivered from Egypt which is restoration, so that became a newness to them which is a type of been born again. So they then pass through the Red sea which is a type of baptism, then they experience the passover which is a type of the communion.
Transformation is a movement. Movement from one point to the other. In the process of transformation, changes happen. Once you are born again, a transformation begins to take place. In this life, you must leave behind certain things. Matthew 9:36. 2 Timothy 3:16.
Exodus 15:23. Marah is a process God allows you to go through.
Faith is that which you use to activate the Word of God and receive your desired result.
We must learn to make decrees by faith and stand by the Word of God and trust Him to see the manifestation of the words.
Exodus 15:26. Elim. Its a season not final. You can't dwell there cos you will be restricted and limited. You must move on in your journey.
Marah, Elim, Sin where strategic in the Israelites journey to the promise land.
In the wilderness of Sin, they murmured against God because they were hungry.
A journey of 40 days became a journey of 40 years because they refuse to yield to the process of healing God brought them to.
In the wilderness of Sin, God gave them flesh and meat, and where instructed to pick only the portion that is needed a day but greed filled their hearts and picked much more than they needed to the point that it came out of their nose and many died because of that act of disobedience.
Things can't come to you until you are able to develop the capacity to handle it. God desires that miracles begin to flow but our hearts have not been prepares to handle it.
You must go through this processes and you must pass them.
Cain was told that sin lies at the door of his heart but he must master it cos that is where his healing lies.
Luke 6:19; 8:46.

Even though human beings left God, God still loved man, and because of that, He gave his only son who was spotless and without blemish, for us. That by believing Him, we may be free.
Jesus came into the world and bore our sins upon Him .
When you subvert something, you sabotage it.
When you sabotage the Gospel, you're under a curse
If we must uphold the gospel of Christ, we must fight false gospel.
The word of God is our weapon

What is another gospel?
- Any other gospel that was not originally preached by Jesus Christ or any of his apostles.
There's only one way to God and that way is Jesus
What did Jesus say about false prophets of the gospel? The
-False Prophets
-False Teachers
-False Christ
-False Brethren

Four Bad Guys In The Bible.
(1) The False Gospel:
(2) The False Christ: Matthew 24:24-25.
(3) The False Prophets: Matthew 24:11.
(4) The False Brethren.

False prophets are in the business of deceiving.
It's not bad to go where God is at work, but be sure that it's a place where God is at work. Don't be slaves to gimmicks and fallacies.
If you see miracles, it doesn't automatically make doctrines right.

Where will these false prophets come from? Who is their teacher? ( 2 Peter 2:1)
Make sure you are not a false prophet or false teacher
Make sure you fall prey to false prophets doctrine (1John 2:18)

How to identify false prophets? (1John 1-7)
1. Be skeptical, doubt everything until you're sure it's the right thing. Do not be naive.
2. Believe not every spirit : Whatever you're taught, go back and cross check if it's true.
3. Whoever doesn't believe that Jesus Christ came in the flesh is not of Christ.
4. False prophets do not have the capacity to love, they may flatter you, but not love. (Love for the brethren, love for humanity ). If you don't have love you're a false prophet.

How to relate with false prophets? (2 John 7-11)

False prophets are worse than murderers, because it's more dangerous to kill a person spiritually than physically.

What do false prophets do when you confront them?
They'll fight if they have their way.

Where do we go for wisdom to confront false prophets?
(2 Timothy 3:14)
The Bible!

What pastoral lessons are needed to confront today's congregation? (2 Timothy 4:1)
Preach the word!
Be instant in and out of season.
Correct, rebuke and encourage people with good teaching.
Be watchful
Endure affliction.

If you're a Christian, you must be stronger than all the devil throws at you.

What to do with Heretics? Titus 3:10, Jude 1:4

Topic: Developing Godly Jealousy; A Case Study Of Elijah
Text: 1 Kings 19:14.
Date: 17th July, 2022.

Jealousy is showing jealous disposition.
Jealousy is being unduly suspicious or fearful of been displace by someone.
Jealousy a feeling of ...
Jealousy is zealous vigilance.
Jealousy is generated by an intense love. It can be a thing, a place or a person.
Jealousy results to intense boldness. You can defend a course with all boldness.
Jealousy creates concern for everything about whom you are jealous for.

Moslems are radicalizing their own every where though few.

What are we talking about? We are talking about zeal, we are talking about those who stand for their God.

In Nigeria, we can see that every leader who is a moslem is a fundamentalist with the view and aim of Islamizing Nigeria.
Elijah is seen as someone who stays on Mount Camel praying.
Elijah was always in the mountain because he has seen that his nation had left the worship of the true God and started worshipping Baal. So he was there and praying because of his zeal for God.
Each and everyone of us must develop zeal for God. And be mindful of the things of God.

2 Corinthians 11:2
[2]For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

What godly jealousy does in us is a life of intercession and prayers for our families and our nation.
Elijah was full of jealousy for his God and his nation. His thoughts were filled with and about his nation.
His nation had veered off from God and his thoughts and desire was to see that his nation was restored back to God. He frowns at sin like God will do. He spoke to leadership as God will do.
Elijah was full of something that was extraordinary so much that he told Ahab let's do a contest and see which God will answer by fire and told the people why strive over two opinions, if God be God let's serve Him and if Baal be Baal let's serve Him.
Whatever you pursue determine what kind of passion and zeal you have.
God is calling each and everyone of us to develop godly jealousy to carryout his purpose.
Let what is happening that is wrong and bad draw you to God to pray and to intercede.
To have godly jealousy, your heart must be right.
Elijah was a man full of jealousy because he developed it in the place of prayers.
That pain you carry, that feeling of unease, turn it into prayers.
In the time of Elijah, the true worship of God was restored because of his zeal.
Our nation need prayers, our nation need people, who will make God be proud.
In our nation, politicians chart the paths but the Church needs to rise up and be the one to Chart the path.
Anyone filled with godly zeal can change the course of things.
How do you look at Nigeria?
Develop godly zeal in your heart.
To the Youths, if you don't pray for this nation you may not have a future.
We have forsaken God and done things that are terrible in this nation. We must turn back to God.
Godly jealousy creates in you passion.
How do you develop godly jealousy? Is by knowing what God's will is and purposes and standing by it in the place of prayers.

Speaker: Rev. Raymond Daze
Topic: Healings
Text: Genesis 3:21
Date: 3rd/10th July, 2022.

Introduction
Healing is an act of interrupting the process of degeneration
From Genesis right up to when Jesus came, all what God was trying to do was to heal man from the fall.
In understanding the process of healing we begin by looking at Moses, the servant of God.
This man Moses was adopted by the daughter of Pharaoh, born by an Hebrew woman. The mother of Moses was a woman of wisdom who knew what to do at all times.
She knew that the daughter of Pharaoh had no child and she saw it wise to heal they daughter of Pharaoh by giving her Moses and she also knew that Pharaoh had no male child. Pharaoh daughter's condition was cured by Moses.

What makes you victorious is the amount of testimonies you have.

Healing are in phases.

When they were about to leave Egypt God change their financial situation.

We saw how the soul of man received healing.
When Adam and Eve sinned, we saw in Genesis how God sacrificed an animal yo cover them. So we could see God as a restorer

Healing an art of disrupting the process of degradation and reversing its effect back to its original state.
Healing goes through this stages.
Restores
Transforms
Sustains

Numbers 26:51
Exodus 2:2
The whole process of restoration began with Moses as he forsook all.
Hebrews 11:21-25
God lead Moses into the Wilderness for training for forty years and that was the same wilderness Moses took the Israelites to and through.

• The first process of healing is Restoration.
Psalms 23
David in this psalms saw the restoration of the human being.
Healing began in the Garden of Eden when God sacrificed an animal and covered man with it.
That covering was a temporal means and a probation in preparation for a permanent solution.
The target of sin is the soul.
This sin is a product of all the sicknesses and diseases we are faced with today.

Psalms 23
• In verse 1 & 2, he recognised God as his Shepherd in other words, God as his head.
He also recognized God as his provider.
• In verse 3, he says"He restores my soul".
The soul has divine knowledge and that's why the devil wanted to corrupt it by sin. So here, David is praying for the restoration of his soul.
The aim of sin and the desire of the devil is to make sure that the soul of man is corrupt so that man will not be able to have the dominion and the Lordship on the earth.
Sin is meant to affect the heart.
Sin is like a computer virus and virus is meant to corrupt the system.
So sin as that virus carries with it packages and those packages are its identity all with the aim of invading the soul of man and corrupting the memory of God in the heart of man.
Isaiah 60:2
Genesis 1:1-2. Darkness was confined and light was given dominionm
But in Isaiah 60:2. Darkness is now invading the people so that the program of God for man is being disrupted.
The death of Christ was the ultimate price that broke the hold of the devil over man.
The virus that affected the soul is the knowledge of good and evil.
This sin does not affect the body, it is the soul.
Immediately you get born again, there's a garment that is given to you. As a believer, when sin comes, it does not affect the soul but rubs on the garment making it stain and filthy. But at the end of the day, you must appear with the garment pure and white without any stain.

The benefit of sin over the soul
• Darkness: Isaiah 60:2.
It brings darkness so it can block your vision so you cannot see.

The broad way and the narrow way.
The broad way: a norm, attitude, character, way of life that leads to destruction yet accepted by all and sundry without any objection.
The narrow way: few search for it and thread that part.

• Fruit bearing. Galatians 5:19-21.
Proverbs 4;18

God has not given up on man.
