Discovering your purpose in God.
Purpose is not a mystery to be solved, it is a person to be followed. You don't discover your purpose by staring at yourself in the mirror; you discover it by staring at the face of God. Purpose is not about what you want to do for God, it's about what God wants to do through you.
Your purpose is revealed in His presence, but it is activated in your obedience.
· Moses found his purpose not in Egypt, but at a burning bush—after he turned aside.
· David found his purpose not in the palace, but on the battlefield—after he ran toward the giant.
· Esther found her purpose not in the crown, but in the crisis—after she said, "If I perish, I perish."
Notice the pattern? God doesn't show you the whole map; He shows you the next step. The instruction for today is the key to your destiny tomorrow. Your purpose is not a distant destination—it is the sum total of every faithful "yes" you say to God right now.
So stop asking, "God, what is my purpose?" and start asking, "God, what are You telling me to do today?"
Listen: God’s instructions are not restrictions; they are directions. They are the rails that keep the train of His blessing from derailing. When God says "do this," He is not holding out on you, He is holding you up.
In Genesis, God didn't just hand Abraham a treasure map. He gave him a walking order: "Leave your country, your people, and your father's household." The blessing was attached to an instruction. The promise was packaged in a process.
Too many of us are shouting for the blessing while ignoring the blueprint. We want the promotion but refuse the preparation. We want the victory but skip the warfare.
Beloved, we love the promise. We cling to the blessing. But we often forget the fine instructions.
So today, ask yourself: What has God been telling me to do that I have been ignoring? That uncomfortable step, that hard conversation, that habit you need to break that is not a punishment. That is the path. That is your purpose knocking at the door of your obedience.
Blessing without obedience is just a wish. But blessing with obedience is a testimony.
Go. Do what He said. The promise and your purpose is waiting on the other side of your obedience.
