THE WALK IN LOVE : Love, Light and the Life of God

Life, light and love are expressions of God’s personality. God is light, and walking in love means walking in His light and living out His life.
We cannot walk in the Spirit by the strength of the flesh. Self cannot fulfil God’s will because self naturally seeks itself. Walking in love is walking in the will of God.
The experience of being “so loved” makes it easier to love others. The evidence that God dwells in us is that we love one another. Love in us is the expression of God dwelling in us.
Walking in love means that nothing takes the place of God in our hearts. We may use the things of this world as instruments, but we must never allow them to become idols.
Transformation is a major evidence of proximity to love. True love provokes us to righteousness, challenges us unto growth, and teaches us not to prefer commendation above correction.
Walking in love is sacrificial. It means extending to others what is profitable to us—our time, service and resources—for their benefit.
Truth regulates love and purifies its motive. And we must never practise the love of God outside the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Giving is part of the life of a man who loves God. You cannot love and not give; whatever you have naturally flows in the direction of love.
In everything you do, prioritise God. Give to God first, and let what comes from Him flow through you to men.
