TOPIC: PATIENT TRUST — PART 2

📖 Scripture

«“Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.”

💭 DEVOTIONAL

Waiting on God can be uncomfortable.

You can pray with faith and still wonder, “When will it happen?”

You can know that God has spoken and still struggle with the silence.

You can believe that your season is coming and yet become discouraged when you see other people receiving what you have been praying for.

That is why patient trust is not simply waiting for an answer.

Patient trust is learning to trust God while you wait.

Sometimes we think that if God has not answered us yet, He must not be doing anything.

But Scripture teaches us that there are seasons when God is working behind the scenes.

Think about Joseph.

He received a dream from God, but his reality looked completely different.

Instead of the palace, he found himself in a pit.

Instead of honour, he experienced betrayal.

Instead of freedom, he entered prison.

Yet God had not forgotten him.

The dream was still alive.

Joseph's waiting season was also a preparation season.

God was developing his character, wisdom, leadership, and capacity for the assignment ahead.

Perhaps that is what God is doing in your life right now.

You are asking for the destination, while God is working on the person who will occupy it.

You are asking for the blessing, while God is preparing you to carry it.

You are asking for the open door, while God is preparing what is behind the door.

So don't despise your waiting season.

Waiting is not wasting.

While you wait, keep growing.

While you wait, keep praying.

While you wait, keep serving.

While you wait, keep preparing.

While you wait, keep your heart free from bitterness.

And most importantly, keep trusting God.

There will be moments when you are tempted to compare your journey with someone else's.

You may see someone who started after you and seems to be ahead of you.

Don't let comparison steal your peace.

God has a unique timetable for your life.

The Bible says:

«“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”
— Ecclesiastes 3:1»

Your season has a purpose.

Your waiting has a purpose.

Your preparation has a purpose.

And your testimony will have a purpose.

You may not understand why God has allowed the process to take so long, but you can trust His wisdom.

God sees what you cannot see.

He knows what is ahead.

He knows the people you will meet.

He knows the doors you will enter.

He knows the battles you will face.

And He knows exactly when you will be ready for what you are asking Him to release.

So today, don't allow impatience to push you outside God's will.

Don't settle because you are tired of waiting.

Don't abandon your faith because someone else's testimony came before yours.

Your time is in God's hands.

Be patient.

Be prayerful.

Be prepared.

Be faithful.

And keep trusting.

One day, you will look back and realize that the God you thought was taking too long was actually preparing you for the right moment.

His timing is worth trusting.

🌿 REFLECTION

What are you waiting for right now?

Instead of allowing the waiting to frustrate you, ask God:

“Lord, what are You teaching me in this season?”

Remember:

The waiting season is not an empty season. God can be working in you while He is working for you.

🙏 PRAYER

Father, teach me to trust You patiently.

When I don't understand Your timing, help me to trust Your wisdom. When I see others moving ahead, protect my heart from comparison and discouragement.

Give me grace to wait without becoming bitter, to prepare without becoming tired, and to believe without wavering.

Use this season to strengthen my faith, develop my character, and prepare me for everything You have ordained for my life.

When my appointed time comes, let me be ready to receive what You have prepared.

In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.

TOPIC: GOD IS NOT LATE — PART 2

📖 Scripture

«“Though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”

💭 DEVOTIONAL

Sometimes the hardest thing about faith is waiting.

You know what God has promised, but you don't know when it will happen.

You have prayed.

You have believed.

You have cried.

You have waited.

And now you are beginning to wonder if your opportunity has passed.

Maybe you are looking at your age, your circumstances, your finances, your family, or the mistakes of your past and thinking:

“Is it still possible for me?”

Yes.

With God, it is still possible.

One of the greatest mistakes we make is judging God's faithfulness by our calendar.

We say, “God is late,” simply because He did not act when we expected Him to act.

But God is not controlled by our timetable.

Look at the story of Lazarus in John 11.

Jesus knew Lazarus was sick, yet He delayed His arrival. By the time He came, Lazarus had been dead for four days.

Martha met Jesus and said:

«“Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.”»

From Martha's perspective, Jesus had arrived too late.

But Jesus knew something Martha did not know.

The delay was not the end.

Jesus called Lazarus out of the grave, and what looked like a hopeless situation became a testimony of God's glory.

Maybe your situation feels like a “fourth day” situation.

You have waited so long that you have stopped expecting anything to change.

But hear this today:

God is not intimidated by how long your situation has lasted.

Years do not make God powerless.

Delay does not make God forgetful.

A closed door does not mean your destiny is closed.

A missed opportunity does not mean God has no other opportunity.

And your past does not have the final word over your future.

Consider Abraham.

God promised him a son, but Abraham had to wait.

Consider Joseph.

He received a dream, but his journey took him through the pit and prison before the palace.

Consider David.

He was anointed king, yet he still had to wait before occupying the throne.

The promise came before the manifestation.

That is why you must learn to trust God in the space between “God said it” and “I see it.”

The waiting season can be painful.

But it can also be a season of preparation.

God may be developing your character.

God may be positioning people.

God may be opening doors you cannot see yet.

God may be protecting you from something you don't understand.

So don't force what God has not released.

Don't run ahead because you are tired of waiting.

Don't settle for something inferior simply because you are desperate for an answer.

Wait for God's best.

The Bible says:

«“They that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength.”
— Isaiah 40:31»

Notice that waiting on God does not destroy you.

It renews you.

While you wait, God can strengthen you.

While you wait, God can prepare you.

While you wait, God can mature you.

While you wait, God can position you.

And when the appointed time comes, you will understand that God was never late.

He was working according to a wisdom greater than yours.

So today, stop counting only the days you have waited.

Start counting the reasons you can still trust God.

Your testimony has an appointed time.

Your breakthrough has an appointed time.

Your next chapter has an appointed time.

Don't give up because the clock is moving.

God is still God.

His Word is still true.

His promises are still sure.

And when He acts, no delay will be able to stop what He has ordained.

🌿 REFLECTION

What have you been waiting for that has made you question God's timing?

Today, surrender the timetable to God.

Say:

“Father, I trust You even when I don't understand the timing. Help me wait without losing hope.”

🙏 PRAYER

Father, help me to trust Your timing.

When I feel forgotten, remind me that You have not forgotten me. When I become impatient, give me grace to wait. When circumstances tell me that it is impossible, remind me that nothing is too difficult for You.

Deliver me from desperation and the temptation to settle for less than Your will.

Strengthen me while I wait.

Prepare me for what You are preparing for me.

Let every promise You have ordained for my life come to pass at the appointed time.

And when my testimony comes, let me look back and say:

“God was not late. He was faithful all along.”

In Jesus' mighty name, Amen.
