As we enter the final month of the year, let us reflect on God’s goodness and the many blessings we’ve received.

May this season of celebration and joy catalyse our spiritual growth, renewal, and transformation.

Like the Wise Men, may we be guided by the star of divine direction, leading us to the manger of God’s love and redemption.

May December be a month of:
- Abundant blessings
- Overflowing joy
- Unwavering hope

SPEAK LESS, LISTEN MORE!

JAMES 1:19-26

KEY VERSE: "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath" (James 1:19).

Oftentimes, we talk a lot while others listen to us, and we may not even give them a chance to speak too. We derive fun and pleasure in talking too much! As children of God, we should learn to speak less and listen more. We should always be ready to listen and understand before passing out judgment. So many people have gone away from the faith because there was no one to listen to them. Most of our friends have left us because we always talk and do not want to listen.

Learn to listen to others. Listen to your elders, your parents and leaders. While listening, you will gain more knowledge. If you have nothing good to say, it is better to keep quiet and say nothing at all. If you are talkative, you will end up sinning. The Bible clearly states that, in the multitude of words there is sin. As God's children, we should learn to comport ourselves. You shouldn't always be on the list of noisemakers in class. Learn to be quiet and listen more. If anybody tells you something bad about someone, try not to believe such stories until you have heard the person's own account. Speak less and listen more!

PRAYER: Dear Lord, give me the ability to speak less and listen more.

SINCERE MILK: Children Daily Devotional Guide

SUNDAY MARCH 01, 2020

A GRATEFUL HEART

TEXT: 1 THESSALONIANS 5:16-28

Key Verse: "In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you" (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Paul and Silas were great men of God who toiled day and night for the gospel. In their bid to share the gospel, they were arrested and kept in prison.

While there, they sang songs of praises to God. Instead of hearts of grief, their hearts were filled with praise. Paul and Silas still praised God in distress. The foundation of the prison shook, their chains were broken, and the gates opened for them.

God wants hearts which truly worship Him. He wants true worshippers. God desires people with grateful hearts. God is ready to do greater wonders in the lives of those who offer praises to Him. Appreciate God for the past. Worship Him for the present. Adore Him for the future. Your present situation is not a limitation to God's manifestation. Have a grateful heart, always, it brings abundant blessings.

Prayer: Thank You God for everything You have done for me.
