Sunday service 16/08/2026

Moderator: Engr. Joseph Filibus Barde
Speaker: Pst. Declan Nyameh
Theme: "What Come out of man"
Text: Mathew 15:10-20

what truly makes a person unclean is not merely what we eat or what enters our body, but what comes out of our hearts.
Our words, actions, attitudes, and character reveal what is inside us.

Many times, we are more concerned about outward appearances what people see, what we eat, or how we look before others. But God looks beyond the outside and examines the heart.

Jesus mentions things that come from within, such as evil thoughts, pride, envy, deceit, anger, and other sinful attitudes.
These are the things that can destroy a person's relationship with God and with others.

The lesson for us today is simple: We should not only clean our outward appearance; we must allow God to cleanse our hearts. When the heart is transformed, our words, behaviour, and relationships will also change.

Key message:
“What is inside the heart eventually comes out through our words and actions.”

May God give us clean hearts and help us to produce things that glorify Him. Amen.

Joel 2:25 (KJV)
"And I will restore to you the years that the locust hath eaten, the cankerworm, and the caterpiller, and the palmerworm, my great army which I sent among you."

Bible Gateway
Meaning: In its original context, God is speaking to Israel after a devastating locust plague. He promises that because the people have returned to Him in repentance, He will restore what they had lost—both materially and spiritually.

Bible Gateway +1
Many Christians also find a broader spiritual encouragement in this verse: God is able to redeem and bring good from years that seemed wasted by hardship, failure, or loss. While the past cannot literally be relived, God can restore purpose, joy, opportunities, and fruitfulness in ways that exceed what was lost.

A simple takeaway is:
God specializes in restoration. What appears lost is not beyond His ability to redeem.**
