THEME: LOVE ONE ANOTHER
Text: JOHN 15 :9_17
SPEAKER: REV BEZIEL YAYUBA YOILA

Beloved in Christ, today as we celebrate Mother’s Day, we reflect on the words of Jesus in John 15:12: “This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.”

A mother’s life is one of the greatest examples of sacrificial love. Mothers nurture, protect, pray, forgive, and continue to give even in difficult times. Their love reminds us of the love of Christ.

The Bible says:
“Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.” — John 15:13

Every godly mother understands sacrifice. She gives her strength, time, comfort, and prayers for the sake of her family. In the same way, Jesus showed the greatest love by giving His life for us on the cross.
God also calls every Christian to live in love.

“Let all that ye do be done with charity.” — 1 Corinthians 16:14

“Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love.” — Romans 12:10

In a world filled with hatred and division, believers must show compassion, forgiveness, patience, and unity. Love should be seen not only in words but also in actions.

Today, let us appreciate and pray for all mothers, and let us follow the example of Christ by loving one another sincerely.

As the Scripture says:
“These things I command you, that ye love one another.” — John 15:17

Happy Mother’s Day to all mothers. May the Lord bless and strengthen you always. Amen.

"It is finished.”
Today, we solemnly remember the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, through whom we have received salvation and grace.

May our lives reflect the power of the cross.

THEME: WHAT IS YOUR FAITH IF JESUS COMES TODAY?
TEXT: Genesis 17:1–7
SPEAKER: REV KK YUSUF

In 17:1–7, the Bible says:
“When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to Abraham and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou perfect…”

At ninety-nine when strength had faded and hope seemed delayed God revealed Himself as El Shaddai, the Almighty. Not when Abram was young. Not when things were easy. But when the promise looked impossible.

And God said: “Walk before me.”
That is the message for us today.

If Jesus comes today, what will He meet in you?
Faith… or fear?
Obedience… or excuses?
Expectation… or distraction?

Abram had waited 24 years for the promise. Yet God was still working. The covenant was still valid. The promise was still alive.

God changed Abram’s name to Abraham from “exalted father” to “father of many nations.” Before the manifestation, there was a transformation, before the fulfillment, there was a covenant.

Beloved, faith is not just what you say on Sunday. Faith is how you walk daily before God.

Genesis 17 teaches us three powerful truths:
1. God reveals Himself in seasons of delay.
When life feels slow or silent, God is still El Shaddai — the All-Sufficient One.

2. Faith requires a walk, not just a wish.
“Walk before me and be blameless.” Faith is consistent obedience, even when the promise is not yet visible.

3. Covenant changes identity.
When you truly encounter God, you cannot remain the same. Abraham received a new name because he embraced a new relationship.

So I ask again:
If Jesus appears today, will He find you walking before Him? Or running from Him?
Salvation is not about religion; it is about covenant, faith is not about noise; it is about obedience, hope is not about feelings; it is about trust in El Shaddai.
Just as God established His covenant with Abraham, He still calls us into covenant through His Son.

Today is the day to examine your walk, because one day, the trumpet will sound.
And the question will not be how long you lived but how you walked.

Lord, help us to walk before You faithfully, so that whenever You come, we will be found ready.

SUNDAY SERVICE MCBRIDE GLOBAL METHODIST CHURCH 22/02/2026
SPEAKER: REV. MAXWELL OBADIAH
THEME: REMEMBER YOUR COVENANT WITH GOD
TEXT: GENESIS 9:8–19

After the flood, after the storm, after the destruction — God spoke to Noah and established a covenant. He placed the rainbow in the sky as a sign that He would never again destroy the earth by flood, our God is a covenant-keeping God.

The rainbow is a reminder that:
God does not forget His promises.
God does not abandon His people.
God remains faithful even when we are not.

But covenant is not one-sided, Noah walked with God before the flood, He obeyed when others doubted, he remained faithful when it was not popular.

Today, we must ask ourselves:
Are we still walking in obedience?
Are we faithful in prayer?
Have we kept our promises to God?
Have we forgotten God after He answered our prayers?
Many people remember God in the storm but forget Him after deliverance.

Beloved, do not forget your covenant after the breakthrough.
Nigeria may be passing through challenges, families may face difficulties, but the God who preserved Noah is still on the throne. If you are alive today, it is because of His covenant mercy.

Let us renew our commitment to: Prayer, holiness, integrity, unity, righteous living. God has not broken His covenant. If there is distance, it is not from His side. Remember your covenant with God.

May McBride Global Methodist Church remain a covenant-keeping church because we serve a covenant-keeping God.

A SEASON OF DIVINE REALIGNMENT: NEW YEAR MESSAGE 2026

To my beloved brothers and sisters of McBride Global Methodist Church, Nigeria,

As we stand at the threshold of this new year, I greet you in the matchless name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We look back at the past year with hearts full of gratitude, and we look forward with a resolute commitment to the path of Scriptural Holiness.

Our theme for this year is rooted in the assurance that God’s presence is our constant companion. In a world of uncertainty, we anchor ourselves in these four pillars of our Wesleyan heritage:

1. A Season of Unfathomable Mercy
We do not enter this year because of our own strength, but because of the Mercy of God that is new every morning (Lamentations 3:22-23). Whatever burdens or mistakes you carried in the past year, know that the throne of grace is open. Let us be a people who not only receive mercy but extend it to our neighbors across Nigeria.

2. Sustained by Transforming Grace
We celebrate Grace—not just as a gift that saves us, but as the power that sustains us. May you experience Prevenient Grace drawing you closer, Justifying Grace giving you peace, and Sanctifying Grace refining your character to reflect the image of Christ daily.

3. Walking by Unwavering Faith
In this new year, let our Faith be more than a confession; let it be our lifestyle. Even when the road seems dim, we trust in the sovereignty of God. Remember, "faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen" (Hebrews 11:1). Let us trust God for the growth of our church and the healing of our nation.

4. Committed to Scriptural Holiness

As members of the Global Methodist Church, we are called to spread the Gospel and reform the nation by pursuing Scriptural Holiness. This is our "heart purity"—a life set apart for God’s purposes. Let our lives be a living testimony of love, integrity, and devotion to the Word of God.

My Prayer for You:
"May the God of peace himself sanctify you entirely; and may your spirit and soul and body be kept sound and blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." — 1 Thessalonians 5:23

May 2026 be a year where your households overflow with peace, your labors yield a bountiful harvest, and your walk with God grows deeper than ever before.

Happy New Year to you and your families!

In His Service,
Reverend Dennis Obadiah Jen
Pastor-in-Charge, McBride Global Methodist Church, Nigeria

Dear Beloved Members of the Global Methodist Church in Nigeria, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Liberia, North Georgia, Russia, and friends around the globe.

As we gather in the glow of Christmas lights and the promise of a newborn King, I extend warmest greetings to you all—our faithful church family, partners in ministry, and the wider public who share in the spirit of this sacred season.

Christmas reminds us of God's boundless love, manifested in the humble birth of Jesus Christ in Bethlehem. In a world often shadowed by challenges, this celebration invites us to embrace peace, joy, and reconciliation. Let us reflect on the Savior's light that pierces every darkness, drawing us closer to one another in unity and compassion.

As we bid farewell to 2025, may the coming year bring renewed strength, divine favor, and prosperity to your homes, businesses, and endeavors. In the Global Methodist Church, we commit to advancing God's kingdom through fervent prayer, bold evangelism, spreading scriptural Holiness and transformative service to our communities.

Merry Christmas and a prosperous 2026 ahead! May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

In Christ's enduring love,
Dr. John Pena Auta
