TOPIC: NO MORE DELAY

“For I am the Lord: I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall come to pass; it shall be no more prolonged...” Ezekiel 12:25

MESSAGE
Isn’t it wonderful for God, the Creator of the Universe, to tell you “The time has come for every prophecy to be fulfilled. There will be no more delays”? The truth is He is more than able to perform whatever He says. And He is saying to you today that the time has come for you to receive what you have been praying and hoping for in Jesus’ Name. The waiting time is OVER.

The scripture says in Deuteronomy 7:9 that “Know therefore that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations.” He will do what He has promised because He is faithful.

In Genesis 24:55-58, Abraham's servant knew that God had already prospered his way, but Rebekah's parents still wanted him to tarry for ten days before he could go away with Rebekah (vs 55). But in verses 57 and 58, when Rebekah's view was sought, she told her parents that she was ready to go with the man right away! Beloved, what God has already accomplished for the manifestation of His glory in your life shall not be delayed any longer in Jesus name.

ACTION POINT
Terminate the covenants of delay in your life and rejoice at God’s word for you: “No more delays!”

SCRIPTURES
Genesis 24:55-58; Deuteronomy 7:9

PRAYER POINTS
1. Lord, let Your favour speak for me everywhere in Jesus name.

2. God, touch the hearts of those who may want to hinder the manifestation of Your glory in my life in Jesus name.

3. O Lord, let what You have prospered in my ways come into manifestation in Jesus name.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR
2 Kings 23; Lamentations 3; 1 Timothy 6.

20/10/2021

The Bible Calendar for 20th October, 2021.

2 Kings 23
Lamentations 3
1 Timothy 6

POINTS
1. Genuine Revival.
2. God the Portion of His People.
3. Serve Your Master.

1. GENUINE REVIVAL
There are many revivals today in churches around the globe, but many of them are not genuine revivals, any revival that doesn't portray repentance and changing from evil deeds, such revival that left aside the salvation of souls is not a genuine revival. Now, the definition of revival is misconstrued by many people planning the revival, some stage revivals to raise money for church buildings, purchase of church instruments, cars and some other things. Some people stage revivals for prayers and meeting the needs of the people and for testimonies of physical blessings. Some gather people that they may dance and rejoice to show to the people around them the type of the church they are. But Josiah gathered Judah to bring them to the knowledge of God, to return them to the covenant that God made with them which they had derailed from, he called the people to genuine repentance and reformation, which can be traced back to the Passover that they had neglected many years back. Through this revival, he removed many of the shrines made by the kings from nooks and cranny of the nation, and he disengaged the prophets of idols, he did not kill them but preached to convert them to the Lord. Genuine revival should be focused on conversion of souls from their wickedness to repentance, from darkness to the marvelous light of God. The miracle that should be expected from a genuine revival is the conversion of souls, the lame walks, blind sees, deaf speaks are just signs to attract the people; but the salvation of souls gladdens God and the Hosts of Heaven for there is joy in heaven for a soul that repents. We can stage fund raising when necessary, it shouldn't be the time of revival. That should be sponsored by neutral people not to expect the offerings to be collected as that which will be used to run the affairs of the revival, so that the concentration should be on salvation of souls. Those bounded by the devil or sin, when they meet with Christ they will be delivered but it's yet to be completed until they give their life to Jesus Christ.

2. GOD, THE PORTION OF HIS PEOPLE
The only person that can have rest of mind is he that knows God as his or her portion, he that does not trust in his/her ability but recognizes the mercies of God as the means of survival. Jeremiah regretted his actions having remembered how he used his labour which was bitter, and he noticed that God did well to those that waited on Him. It is expedient for the people of God to trust God for everything, that they may hope on Him without complaining and they will carry their burden unto Him. Such a person will depend on God because nobody can do what He has not done. If God be our portion, why then are we thinking for God instead of us to allow Him to have His own ways, why can't we allow Him to guide us to the place of His will. He is our portion and determinator of all happenings, let's surrender all things to him He will do us well. Paul also asked Timothy to teach the rich men to trust in God instead of trusting in their wealth, not to pursue riches than necessary because someone that pursued wealth usually enters into trouble. Many of them fall victim of dubious people who are enticed with one thing or the other. And those that trust their riches will want people to idolate them but we bring nothing to this world and we will leave the world with nothing, moreso, all what we have are received from God, what is our boast? All Christians need to be satisfied with whatever they have: foods, clothes and shelters doesn't give any category or purpose, whether big or small, costly or cheap, they serve the same purpose; we can not eat than what our stomach can contain, neither can we sleep in two rooms at the same time, nor put on many cloths at a go. Money is the root of all evil is what Paul says here, a lover of money must be careful or else the lust of the world will take possession of our life.

3. SERVE YOUR MASTER
This statement shows one of the reasons some people classify themselves from people, the background of this statement reflects how some slaves who had become christians behaved to their masters in the name of brotherly love and kindness in the church. Some didn't want to serve again while some displayed laziness, and some were proud, to these people did Paul tell to serve their master better because, they were supposed to be partners in progress for they were brethren. But laziness is rampant among the brethren who employ one another to the extent that some prefer non-believers to work with them than the same Christians. Because he will take things for granted, and this problem is also among the minister of the gospel who claim to have Jesus as their Lord. Many are not ready to use their strengths only because they are working under a master, some forget that the church is the vineyard of God and He called them to serve. We have surrendered ourselves to Jesus our master, let's serve Him till the end of our life. Though we are no longer slaves but children of God, every reliable child takes good care of his father's farms. I pray we will not fail Him in Jesus name. Please pray for strength to serve Him to the end in all capacity of your calling.
Stay Blessed.

The Bible Calendar for 14th October, 2021.

2 Kings 15: 32--16: 20
Jeremiah 41
Titus 2: 9--3: 15

POINTS
1. Importation of Strange Altar.
2. Beware the Trusted Colleagues.
3. We Are Saved By Mercy.

1. IMPORTATION OF STRANGE ALTAR
Everything has peculiarity which distinguishes such from other things, likewise every religion has peculiar altars where the worshippers meet with the person they believe. But many do not know the peculiarity of the altar of God and they import another altar to replace the existing one in the name of civilizations. King Ahaz saw the altar in the strange nation which he coveted and described to the Priest on paper and the Priest made the altar before the arrival of the king. I noticed that each denomination has a peculiarity of how they make their altar in such a way that it is different from one another but the problem is, some people want to copy other denominations' altar. The mode of worship, songs, music are different but instead of them to be themselves, they want to import other cultures to their service. It goes to the extent that some want to be speaking like another person and imitate what some other people are doing in their own churches. The importation of the altar done by Ahaz was bad because he trickishly brought idolatry to obstruct the laid down principle of the Jewish Religion. We need to be very careful for there is no other foundation to be laid than that which has been laid only for all to know what we are building on it, because our work shall be tested with fire and anyone whose work gets burnt if he will be saved; it will be like passing through fire. We will recall that all materials on the altar of Israel were revealed by God to Moses but the imported ones were from men and they were there to provoke God. Let's keep the altar of God without delusion, may the Lord help us in Jesus name.

2. BEWARE OF TRUSTED COLLEAGUES
One of my mentors in my secular work warned me to be careful of my trusted colleagues. He said those higher than you may fight you but only to make you great, the ones below you may fight you only to eat from you but your colleagues will work on how to demoralize you and prove you unworthiness because they know that you are both eager to be promoted to the available position which may be ten people are looking forward for the same post. This man may be right or wrong but many people do not know from where came their fall, and all will be so clever like Ishmael the son of Nethaniah. Unfortunately, privilege information had been given to Gedaliah that Ishmael had been assigned to kill him, but he trusted Ishmael that he cannot do that but eventually he killed him cleverly and for two days nobody knew that he had killed the king, and he also pretended as if he was not the one and he also killed those that would have raised alarm. He ate with the man of the both entourage but he killed all those who belonged to Ahaz. We need to be careful with the trusted colleagues especially when you are favoured and rise up higher than them, some may be working for your downfall. This also concerns the church ministers among their colleagues, David lamented that if it had been the enemies who did that to him, it would have not been painful but those who enter together to the house of God, those that we pray together, sing together, and among my people find the wicked people. Judas was one of the prominent members of the disciples of Jesus Christ. Be careful, if not that Jesus is all-knowing nobody would have known the one that betrayed Jesus, he planned it cleverly. Such are the evil people they will do it and none will suspect them. May the Lord save us from the hand of the wicked people in Jesus name.

3. WE ARE SAVED BY MERCY
If it had not be the mercies of God that saved us, we would have been worse than those people outside there, for wickedness was taken away from us. Paul reminded us of where we were coming from, and said since we have been saved we need to submit ourselves to God, and others such as boss, and all that rule over us. We are saved by the mercies of God for there are people better than us, more zealous than we are and discipline themselves yet they have no assurance of their salvation, and you that is saved, it's not by your work but by the mercy of God. If not that Jesus made Himself a sacrificial Lamb humble Himself where could we gave been, what position could we would have been? What have we that we have not received, what are we bragging for? Let us follow the pattern of Jesus Christ and serve in humility as He humble Himself till death. Please pray for the spirit of humility so that we will not count ourselves as someone greater than other people no matter position we find ourselves.
It shall be well with us in Jesus name.

The Bible Calendar for 13th October, 2021.

2 Kings 14: 23--15: 31
Jeremiah 40
Titus 1: 1--2: 8

POINTS
1. Foundation Matters.
2. Freedom of God's People.
3. Elders In the Church.

1. FOUNDATION MATTERS
We must be careful about laying the foundation of any building for whatever is done can have effect whether good or bad. A foundation is known to be the beginning of everything, and if it's bad factually nothing can be done. Studying the attitude of the Israelites kings after the secession of the Northern kingdom from Judah, we can see that it was worrisome and many kings followed the sins of Jeroboam. We can see the continuous rebellion which cut short many kings lives and unsettled rivalty in the kingdom. Can we say the law of nemesis worked against them? Though God brought the separation because of the sins of the house of David but does it mean that God did that to punish the Northern kingdom since Judah fell and yet traced back their ways to God often time but the other kingdoms were far to repentance. But this problem can be traced back to the breaking part because Jeroboam separated the people not only from Judah but from the living God of Israel and he newly introduced the people to another gods and from then onwards the kingdom wallowed in the sins and rebellions against God. This should be a great lesson to all especially those that like to break up from the church or ministry, introducing the rebellious attitudes which might not help, if God asks you to move out from the former church or ministry, it should be you alone and your family not in such a way to pack the members along with yourself. The person that wanted to separate business should not go away with the customers of the place he is leaving. Pastor shouldn't plant rebels against his successor or predecessor. I can see that many people are suffering for the rebellious attitude they have. Judah retained their kings especially king Uzziah who sinned against God by hijacking the work of the Priest who God struck with leprosy yet the kingdom still allowed his son to act in his stead until his death but Israelites' kingdom killed their kings anyhow by rebellion. Rebellion proliferates death in the church till today, some will even go to the extent of being diabolical. Let us run away from sin of rebellion.

2. FREEDOM OF GOD'S PEOPLE
God protects His people from any danger and He gives freedom to them from the hand of the wicked ones. Jeremiah was exonerated from bo***ge and given freedom to make a choice of where he would live. This is how God separates His people from slavery, danger, loss, and punishment, especially those that do not compromise. David said though the world's foundation is shaking yet there is a river and this will make the people of God happy. He separated Elijah from famine and the Shunamite woman was told to escape the famine. He will surely deliver His people from any evil only if they keep on trusting Him.

3. ELDERS IN THE CHURCH
Apostle Paul instructed Titus to choose some people to be elders in the church with qualifications including freedom from reproach, husband of one wife, having children that believe, not covetous, nor stubborn. But the church is not looking for these qualifications before choosing people for the office of the elder today. For this, many of those chosen are not performing their duties given them to do in the church according to this passage. Paul says the elder should be an ambassador of Christ, not easily provoked, not a drunkard nor be**er, but hospitable, saintly, upholding the truth, counsellor of biblical doctrines. He also directed all the elderly men and women to have good character worthy of emulation to the younger ones especially the young woman to love their husbands. Many of these virtues have been lost in the church today and it's because the ministers including elders, deacons, deaconesses and choristers have derailed from the track. God called us to be holy, not only the pastors but all that bear the vessel of the Lord. Let all elders check themselves for they will give account when Christ shall come. I pray the office we hold will not be the gateway to hell for us in Jesus name. How can we explain the fight on the altar, or the immorality within the church, or the people that use their post to cheat, to curse, to commit adultery which causes a bad odours on the altar and the choir stalls? Let us change from evil deeds that we will not lose heaven, that our labour and services will not be in vain.
Holy is the Lord.

*TOPIC: THE GUIDANCE OF THE LORD (3)*

“The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that hearkeneth unto counsel is wise.” Proverbs 12:15.

*MESSAGE*
We may not always experience God’s guidance through Him giving us a Bible verse or speaking to us directly. Sometimes He uses other people to advise and guide us instead. Moses experienced this. Instead of getting help, he tried to do it all by himself. At that point his father-in-law, Jethro, said to him, “The thing that thou doest is not good.” (Exodus 18:17). Then he told Moses to delegate responsibility to capable leaders who could share the load with him. “So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.” (Exodus 18:24). As a result, Moses’ problem was solved, and Israel made it successfully to the Promised Land.

God brings the right people to you at the right time. People to advise, encourage and inspire you. We need to learn to recognise those people and be humble enough to listen to their wisdom, and to put it into action. But we also need to learn to discern when we’re listening to the wrong people. We have to ensure that we’re not listening to people who are leading us away from God and His plans for us. We should only let those who speak into our lives be trustworthy and prayerful people.

So we can ask God to send us the right people to help us at any point in our life and we can pray about the advice they are giving us to know whether it is the right counsel for that season of our life. As we are open to those who God sends into our lives to help guide us, we will progress in God’s plans for our lives.

*ACTION POINT*
Is there someone who God has used to give you good counsel recently? Do something to thank them today.

*SCRIPTURES*
Exodus 18:17-24; Psalm 32:8

*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Father, thank You for Your promise of divine guidance.

2. Father, bring people into my life who You have blessed with the wisdom I need to move forward in the name of Jesus.

3. Father, make me a wise counselor for others, too, in the name of Jesus.
