Topic: Godly Virtues
Text: 2 Peter 1:3-8

Taking a closer look at the thematic focus "Godly virtue"; *Godly* simply means Having the characteristics of God and *Virtue* may be seen as an attitude that has high moral standard; it can also be seen as an attractive or good qualities a person possesses.
In our physical world today, moral has to do with virtues that are godly. I was reading my Bible one certain day and I got shocked by this revelation; (Acts 11:19) All through from the book of Mathew all down till Luke, the disciples were never called *Christians*. All through the Old testament, they were only practicising a religion.
(Acts 11:19-26) Christian is a Greek word which means Christ like. The people of Antioch were deeply convinced and said "Surely, these ones are Christians". (Phil 4:8)

_What are the godly virtues that has far been taken away from the church today?_
1. Truthful: Truthful is a quality of being accurate; to be real. (Eph 4:5). Tribalism has turned many into being liars. Even christians having disagreement with people of other denominations; we tend to support or be in favour of those in our denomination or church.
*I WISH WHOLEHEARTEDLY THAT SOMEONE READING THIS WOULD MAKE UP HIS/HER MIND NOT TO TELL LIES AGAIN*

2. Honesty: Honesty is a state of saying things exactly as it is; doing the right thing at the right time, not cheating others.
(Heb 13:18) (Romans 13:3)
I could remeber vividly when I was travelling from Port Harcout to Lagos, the driver filled the vehicle with excessive passengers. We were so much in the bus that we were stopped by a traffic warden and when our driver was questioned why he had so much passenger in his bus, he lied that the rest of us in the bus had a spoilt vehicle and that he helped us. One of us stood up and said "Sir, our vehicle didnt develop any fauly, our transport fare isnt enough, he picked everyone of us at the park like this". Seeing all of the sincerity in the man's words, the security personell on the road allowed us to go and in addendum, he gave us a note that at any junction we were stoopped, we should tender the note to them.

3. Just person: A just man is a blameless person; one who is without blemish. (Gen. 4:24). Even the Bible clearly says that "Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaketh" {James 3:2)

4. Purity: To be pure, to be holy, to be clean. (1 Thess. 4:3-5, Phil 4:8)

5. Peaceful: (Heb 12:14) From the verse mentioned now, we can clearly understand now thta one of the means by which we can see God is to be *peaceful* and *holy*.

MESSAGE
What is TURN AROUND? It means if you have been going backward, now you begin to go forward or if downward, you begin to go upward.
Great turn around means opportunities you have lost suddenly makes a turn around and comes back to you.
The great turn around can be found in the story of blind bartimeus.. After his encounter with Jesus, he had several turn around in his life.
1. God is a God of individuals. When he created you, he made you uniquely.. There is no one else like you. Whenever he does anything, it an individual thing he does. Rev. 3:20. Let your number one focus be yourself during this Congress. You talk about I/me and not We during crucial programs like this. Psa. 23:1&6. When it comes to praising the Lord, it’s a personal and an individual matter. Psalm 34:1;103:1;108:8

2. Abraham’s turn around came when he fed God. Gen. 18:1-14 the only food God wants from YOU is praise.

3. Hannah got her turn around when she made God an offer that he can’t refuse. 1Sam 1:1-20. Psa. 50:23 there is an offer God can’t refuse. When you pray and you don’t get an answer, try praise.

4. When you have nothing else to offer God, offer praise. Mark 5:2-20; John 11:39-44
To place your request to God, you must first know Him and acknowledge His authority. If you want your praise to be accepted by God, then you need to be on his side. If you are not on his side, now is the time to do so. Give your life to him and he will accept your praise. A man cannot be on fire and be quiet
*Things to do to be on fire for God*
1.You must tarry to tarry means :
It mean to remain where you are planted I.e you don't go up and down from where you are planted.
It means to build fellowship with God in place of prayer and in his word James 5:17
It means wait for your time .If you come before your time, you will expire on time. So you have to will follow the process.

You have to connect with the source of fire to connect with the source of fire which I'd God, is through Jesus Roman 10:10 .and to connect with the source of fire, you must be born again
Connect to fire through the Holy spirit Hebrew 9:9

You need a mentor who is on fire to be connected with the source of fire, to connect with a mentor who is on fire, you must be humble, be teachable, be able to take correction .

Beware of fire extinguisher
The use of tongue member of fire are not talkative .
Unholy appetite: you must moderate your appetite

Topic: Profitable in the Kingdom
Text: Matthew 25:14-30
*CONTENT*
Another statement that can be brought out from the above topic is " _Unprofitable in the kingdom_ ". It means you can be a Christian and not be relevant to the Kingdom. There are on two sides on which you can fall in; being profitable and unprofitable.
(Matthew 25:14-30) sheds light on the three people; one given five, the other given two and the last one. The one given five and the one given two make good use of their talent and doubled it and the Master was glad. v26 clearly shows God sees an unprofitable servant; He called him a wicked and slothful servant because he hid his talent.
*Three major yardstick God uses to judge the profitable servant*
1. A believer's personal engagement with the great commitment.
"Soul winning is the heartbeat of God". Miracles, Signs and wonders are not needed in Heaven; they are needed on Earth. So when a miracle, signs & wonders happen, it doesn't surprise God, neither does it surprise the Angels nor the Elders in Heaven. What shakes Heaven is soul winning? So if you want to shake Heaven, WIN A SOUL! (Romans 10:13-14).
2. A believer must be given to the act of sacrifice.
(Matthew 6:10) A believer must be given to the act of working for God, not just by mouth but a committed one.
3. The life of a believer.
(Acts 9:36) Taking a closer look at the scripture, we can tell that the life of Dorcas was something that the people around her could reflect on. The life you live is either contributing to the advancement of God's kingdom or not contributing at all (Math 25:30).

The life I am living both in the open and in the secret, is it an advancement to the kingdom of God?

OPENING PRAYER
Hallelujah, let’s lift our hands to the Most High God and bless His Holy name, let’s give Him glory, honour and adoration, let’s bless the King of kings, the Lord of lords, worship Him, bless Him, thank Him for all He has done for you since the beginning of the year, magnify His Holy Name, thank Him for Nigeria, give Him all the glory, honour, thank Him that we can go out and come in anytime we want, thank You Father, glory be to God, may Your name be forever glorified, thank You for everything You have done for us as individuals and as a nation. In Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

Father, arise, defend Nigeria and everyone of us.

Father, this is October, this year is ending, help me, let my breakthrough come, remove every reproach from my life, family and Nigeria, don’t let me know shame again do something special for me this month.

Almighty God, the owner of the world, the owner of Nigeria, we bless Your Holy Name, accept our worship in Jesus name, thank You for January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September and October, accept our thanks in Jesus name.

Father we know you have brought us thus far by Your grace we will see the new year, accept our thanks in Jesus name, Father we are crying unto you today on behalf of Nigeria and Nigerians, arise and defend the rulers (traditional and elected) and the ruled.

We commit everyone of us to You, arise and defend us, let it be well with everyone of us and let us receive a special visitation from You.

Embarrass Your children that are faithful in the payment of their tithe and offering with blessings, open the windows of heaven, pour blessings on them, heal everyone listening to us all over the world, set the captives free, let there be no sorrow this month, make the barren fruitful, let there be no bad news for the rest of this year, help us Oh Lord, answer all our prayers, perform miracles in the lives of Your children that are of marriageable age, answer those that want one miracle or the other, this month answer them all.

Before the sunset today let your children have testimonies, thank you Almighty God, in Jesus mighty name we prayed.

THE MESSAGE
Isaiah chapter 60 verses 1 and 2
1Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

God knows the end from the beginning, He knows that a time of darkness will come and when the time comes somebody will rise and shine.

Arise means move up to a higher level wherever you are move higher. for example,

THE DEAD
It means come back to life from the dead, Mark 5:35-42.

SOMEBODY SLEEPING
To somebody who is sleeping it means wake up, Luke 22: 46 when you are sleeping opportunities could pass you by.

SOMEBODY ON THE GROUND
To someone on the ground, stand up. Mark 14:33-42

SOMEBODY IN BO***GE
To somebody in bo***ge, be free, to the lame man, arise and walk. Act 31-8

Whatever level you are today, you would have moved higher before the end of this month.

Every word found in the Bible like arise could be a command, advice, prayer/plead or statement of determination.

ARISE- GOD TO MAN, IT'S A COMMAND.
When God speaks to a man, it is a command, when God is commanding you to arise, it is certain that He will supply what you need to obey, Mark 2:1-12. on behalf of Almighty God, i'm saying arise and everything you need to arise will come through the word.

ARISE- MAN TO GOD, IT'S A PRAYER.
When a man tells God to arise it is a prayer. Psalms 68:1-3 If you say you don’t have enemies, it means you are nothing.

ARISE- MAN TO MAN, IT'S AN ADVICE.
If it is a man speaking to another man, it is an advice 2 Kings 7:1-11, Arise, there's something better waiting for you, very soon you will have a testimony. Take the advice of the man of God, arise. God will supply what you need to rise and shine. When you arise and the blessings begin to come, don’t hide the light, when the miracles that will follow this morning service begin to come don’t fail to testify and tell others the secret of the breakthrough, even before the end of this week, somebody will sing a new song.

ARISE - IT MEANS TALKING TO MYSELF.
If I'm talking to myself it means I have made up my mind that I will suffer no more, life will be better and i'm going higher still. If God open your eyes and show you where you can be you will be amazed.

If you think you are great, you can be greater. Luke 15:1-11 If you are tired of suffering and belief that God can help you, you will say i will arise. If you are tired of suffering and believe that God can move you higher, you will say i will arise. The only one who can stop You from arising is God not devil, if God is on our side who can be against us.

The only one who can lift you is God. If you haven't surrender your life to the only one who can lift you surrender to Him today, it is wise to surrender to the only one that can help you.

Saviour, we just want to thank You for Your word, accept our thanks in Jesus name, we commit the people who have come to surrender their lives into Your hands, have mercy on them, save their souls, forgive their sins, please, receive them into the family of God, let Your blood wash their sins, and i pray anytime they call on You, You will answer their prayer, thank You Almighty.

In a moment Your children will be crying unto You, as they call on You answer them today, release to them the power to become what You want them to become. This day will be a day none of us will ever forget, thank You Almighty, in Jesus mighty name we have prayed.

If you believe God will answer you today, stand and shout Hallelujah.

Father, arise for me and defend me and help me to arise.

Text: 1 John 2 : 15 - 17
CONTENT
(1 John 2:17a) clearly states that the world, the lust in it and its lovers will definitely pass away. What makes the lovers of the world to pass away? ...because they have been distracted by the content of the world; they lust after the things of the world.
Everything in this world is vanity! Your B.S.C, multiple degrees, certificates e.t.c that you hold in high esteem are all vanity.
(James 4:14) If all your labours are without Christ, they will pass away. Go back to your consciousness; seek your way back to the Father. There is a principle in the spiritual realm; whatever you withhold and you are tight fi**ed with, you will lose it. More reasons Jesus was making emphasis on giving Him your life, giving Him your time.
Lay down your heart to Jesus today so that when the world is vanishing and perishing: you would be in Christ. One thing is peculiar about lovers of God (1 John 5:3) is by keeping His commandments (1 John 2:6), by doing the will of the Father.

CONTENT
Taking a deeper look into Jesus' words in (John 14:12), He clearly tells us that it is possible that we do greater works that which He did here on earth. By God's grace, we started celebrating HELP Ministry since Thursday and it's concerned with the Ushering department, Prayer warriors, Choir department, Sanitation, Protocols...
Even though the Bible talked about the Five fold ministries; Pastors, Prophets, Apostles, Teacher and Evangelists... You would discover that this Five fold ministries can not function properly without the HELP Ministry. Imagine during a service without the ushers to keep the noise at its barest minimum level, take people to their seats... you will agree that the Church that day would not be at its best state.
What is HELP Ministry? (1 Corinthians 12:28) HELP Ministry is a ministry that renders helps and strengthen other ministry in the Church so that the work of God can progress.
During the early church, people shared things amongst themselves and the church was growing; but they had a problem because the HELP Ministry wasn't functioning; the widows were being neglected, the welfare was poor because of the numerical increase. When the report came to Peter, he asked that seven other people be chosen to attend to the welfarism of the people. (Exodus 17:9-10) Aaron and Hur helped Moses to keep his hands up to ensure victory in the battle.
People see HELP Ministry as one of the least division in the body of Christ. Last year, someone made a comment not noticing my presence, she said she the sanitation department is just a regular department, that you do not need W.I.T. I immediately corrected her that the sanitation department is one of the important ministry because even the Redemption camp would have been a dumping site and a place to contact different contagious disease if not for the sanitation department. In addendum, even the G.O Pastor E.A Adeboye takes his time to pray for the sanitation department specially every Thursday during the Holy Ghost service, that equally explains how important their services are.
In conclusion, "If you cannot work for God, you are a disappointment to God".
