Christ Gospel Apostolic Church is an independent church. It was founded in 1947 at Foko in Ibadan, south-west, Nigeria through Apostle Peter Akinloye Olatunji a prophet of great repute. In the five fold ministry in the early years of Christ Apostolic Church, he was the prophet while Apostle Joseph Ayo Babalola was the evangelist. One of the great men of God in the church from inception was Apostle

Paul Oladejo Okedoyin who started CGAC Lagos area and overseas. He was the pastor-in-charge of the headquarters church in Foko, Ibadan until 1962 when the Lord led him to go to Lagos to plant the church in Lagos area. Christ Gospel Apostolic Church, aka Mount of Salvation is the headquarters of Rock of ages District aka Abeokuta District. It is located in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital of Nigeria.
