Matthew chapter 9:21-22
21: For she said within herself, If I may but touch his garment, I shall be whole.
22: But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour
Dear Beloved,
Jesus is actively engaged in the healing of the sick and freeing those in bo***ge, yet many find themselves missing out on this incredible grace. Why might this be the case?
The scripture reminds us, “You ask, and do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it on your pleasures” (James 4:3). Additionally, we are encouraged to seek with intention: “Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete” (John 16:24).
Prayer serves as a powerful means of connecting with God, but the condition of our hearts is essential when bringing forth our requests. We should ask ourselves: Is our heart aligned with the Lord? “These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me” (Matthew 15:8).
Another barrier can be a lack of faith. As it says, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours” (Mark 11:24).
Above all, it’s important to reflect on ourselves and our surroundings. Remember, God is unwaveringly faithful, no matter the challenges we face. His ability to provide is boundless (Ephesians 3:20). Let us approach Him with open hearts and steadfast faith.
