A FITTING TRIBUTE TO YEARS OF SACRIFICE AND DISTINGUISHED SERVICE

To God be the glory for a journey of service, sacrifice, and lasting impact.

In a colourful display of honour and heartfelt appreciation, members of the Ikwerre/Emolga Battalion Council gathered to celebrate a remarkable Valedictory Durbar organized in honour of the Immediate Past Battalion Council Chairman, HM Dame Dr. Victoria Sergeant Awuse, ABH, and the Immediate Past Battalion Council Secretary, Mr. Anyanwu Promise Chinedu, ANTO.

The event was a fitting tribute to years of selfless service, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the growth and advancement of the Battalion Council. Of special note is the outstanding leadership record of the Immediate Past Battalion Council Secretary, who faithfully served as Group Council Chairman for six (6) years across two consecutive tenures, and further extended his service as Battalion Council Secretary for another six (6) years, also spanning two consecutive tenures.

The durbar was marked by a series of goodwill messages delivered by esteemed patrons, officers, and Boys of the Battalion Council, each highlighting the impactful leadership, mentorship, and legacy of the honourees. These tributes painted a vivid picture of lives touched, standards raised, and a system strengthened through their years of service.

In recognition of their immense contributions, various forums and companies within the Battalion Council presented gifts as tokens of appreciation and gratitude, symbolizing the deep respect and admiration they have earned over the years.

The presence of the State Secretary, Dr. Chukwudi Ebim, ANTO, further added prestige to the occasion, underscoring the significance of the event and the invaluable contributions of the honourees to the Brigade at large.

As they have now handed over the baton, we trust God to reward their labour and uphold the legacy they have built.
