Tribute to Late Baba Aladura Alogbo by President Ahmed Bola Tinubu
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has paid tribute to the late Supreme Head of the Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church and The Baba Aladura, C&S Movement Church Worldwide (Ayo Ni O), His Most Eminence, Prophet (Dr.) Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo JP, describing him as a distinguished man of God whose life was marked by humility, steadfastness, dedication and unwavering commitment to the nation.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, on Friday, the President expressed deep sadness over the passage of the revered cleric.
"His contributions to strengthening Christian fellowship and fostering harmony across religious and community divides will continue to inspire future generations," President Tinubu stated.
His tenure as a paramount leader within the Cherubim and Seraphim fold was marked by notable milestones. He was appointed acting Spiritual Head of the C&S Movement Church (Ayo Ni O) Worldwide on November 21, 2023, and was formally installed as the 6th Baba Aladura of the Church on Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
He subsequently assumed leadership of the C&S Unification Church, the umbrella body of all C&S churches worldwide, as its 5th Supreme Head on Saturday, September 20, 2025 and passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at the age of 93.
“President Tinubu extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late prophet, the leadership and congregants of the Cherubim and Seraphim movement worldwide, and the entire Christian community in Nigeria.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has received with profound sorrow the news of the passing into glory of His Most Eminence, Prophet (Dr.) Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo, the Supreme Head (Olori) of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Ayo Ni O, and Supreme Head of the Cherubim and Seraphim Unification Church.
“President Tinubu joins millions of believers in Nigeria and across the world in mourning the departure of a distinguished man of God whose life was marked by humility, steadfast faith, and an unwavering commitment to the spiritual well-being of the faithful and the nation at large.
“Through his exemplary leadership, Prophet Alogbo championed peace, unity, and reconciliation within the Cherubim and Seraphim family and earned the respect of Christians and people of other faiths alike.
“His contributions to strengthening Christian fellowship and fostering harmony across religious and community divides will continue to inspire future generations,” the President says.
“President Tinubu urges the Alogbo family, the leadership and faithful of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, and all who mourn this profound loss to take solace in the legacy of enduring values upon which the Movement was founded.
“He also prays that God will grant eternal rest to the soul of His faithful servant, His Most Eminence, Prophet (Dr.) Emmanuel Abiodun Alogbo.
