Today's story is detailed in 2 kings 6:1-7, where a group of Elisha's followers were cutting down trees by the Jordan River to make more room for them to live.
As one man was felling a tree, the iron axe head came loose and fell into the water, sinking immediately.
The student cried out, "Alas, master! For it was borrowed," showing his panic and realization of the gravity of his loss.
Elisha asked where it fell, and the man showed him the spot. Elisha then threw a stick into the water, and the axe head miraculously floated to the surface, allowing the man to grab it and recover it.
The miracle demonstrates God's ability to restore what has been lost, even in seemingly hopeless situations, through faith and repentance.
Moreover, this story is not just about the axe but about God seeing what you lost even when it's out of sight. He cares about what borthered you even when it seemed too small for miracles.
May this month be your month of restoration of everything you've lost in Jesus's name.
