THE EVIDENCE OF A REGENERATED LIFE

Text:
Galatians 5:22-23
"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law." - NKJV

Special Quote:
When you have the Word within you, then the works of the Spirit show up.

When a person is born again, something supernatural happens within the spirit. The believer becomes a new creation, created after the order of Christ. But this new nature must increasingly become evident in the way we live. The Word of God feeds the regenerated spirit so strongly that the spirit begins to influence the soul and produce results in our everyday lives. Regeneration is therefore not merely something we profess; it should increasingly be reflected in our character.

This is why the renewing of the mind is so important. Romans 12:2 tells us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. Many of the struggles we experience are connected to areas of our thinking that have not yet been brought into agreement with God's Word. As the mind is continually renewed by Scripture, it becomes aligned with the regenerated spirit. Then the fruit of that new nature begins to show, love replaces hatred, peace replaces turmoil, patience replaces irritation, and self-control begins to govern our responses.

Therefore, keep feeding your spirit with God's Word. You cannot walk the Christian life effectively without the Word. The more you allow Scripture to shape your thinking and conduct, the more the character of Christ will become visible through you. When pressure comes, let your new nature respond. When you are offended, allow the Word to guide you. When your flesh wants control, walk in the Spirit. The evidence of a regenerated life is that the nature within you increasingly produces the character of Christ through you.

Points to Remember:
1. Being born again gives you a new nature, but that new nature must increasingly become visible as your mind is renewed by God's Word and your regenerated spirit begins to influence the way you think, speak, respond, and live.
2. The fruit of the Spirit is evidence of the work taking place within you. As you continually feed your spirit with God's Word, love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control should increasingly become evident in your character.

Prayer:
* Father, help me to continually grow in my new nature and reflect the character of Christ.
* Lord, renew my mind through Your Word and bring every area of my thinking into agreement with Your truth.
* Holy Spirit, help me to walk in the Spirit so that the fruit of the regenerated spirit will be evident in my life daily, in Jesus Name.

LET THE WORD CONTROL YOUR RESPONSE

Text:
James 1:22
"But be doers of the Word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves." - NKJV

Special Quote:
The Word of His grace is able to build you up.

God's Word is not given merely to inform us; it is given to transform us. Acts 20:32 tells us that the Word of His grace is able to build us up and give us an inheritance among those who are sanctified. As we continually hear, study, meditate on, and practice God's Word, our inner man is strengthened and established in the truth. The more the Word fills our hearts, the more it should influence the way we think, speak, and respond.

There will be moments when our emotions want to take control. Someone may offend us, circumstances may frustrate us, or our attitude may be challenged. In such moments, the Word of God must become stronger in us than our emotions. Instead of giving people a piece of our mind, we should allow the Word to shape our response. We are called to walk in the Spirit, because the life we have received in Christ should produce a lifestyle that agrees with God's Word.

Therefore, don't merely carry the Word in your Bible, carry it in your heart and let it govern your daily life. Meditate on it until it becomes part of your thinking and conduct. When pressure comes, let the Word speak. When anger rises, let the Word guide you. When temptation comes, let the Word strengthen you. The Word works, and as you continue to walk in it, God's grace will build you into the person He has called you to be.

Points to Remember:
1. God's Word builds and strengthens you as a believer from within, giving you the spiritual foundation you need to respond to life's situations according to the nature of Christ rather than according to your emotions or the impulses of the flesh.
2. Hearing God's Word is not enough; you must continually meditate on it and practice it until its truth influences your thoughts, words, attitudes, decisions, and your everyday responses.

Prayer:
* Father, let Your Word take deep root in my heart and build me up in Christ.
* Lord, help me to respond to people and situations according to Your Word rather than according to my emotions.
* Holy Spirit, help me to walk in the Spirit and consistently live out what I have learned from God's Word, in every area of my life, in Jesus Name.

LET GOD’S WORD DEFINE YOU

Text:
2 Corinthians 5:17
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." - NKJV

Special Quote:
Whatever the Word of God says about you, believe it.

It is easy to allow our experiences, failures, limitations, or the opinions of others to determine how we see ourselves. But as believers, our identity must not be built on what we have experienced or what people say about us. God’s Word is the highest authority concerning who we are. When God says you are a new creation, you must believe it even when your circumstances seem to say otherwise. You must learn to believe God's report above every other thing no matter how real they appear.

The Word of God does not merely tell you what God has done, it also reveals who you are because of what Christ has accomplished. You are a child of God, redeemed by His Blood, strengthened by His Spirit, and called according to His purpose. Therefore, you must stop speaking contrary to what God has spoken about you, and stop living contrary to whom God says you are. If He says you can do something, believe it. If He says you are victorious, believe it. If He says you are His own, believe it.

Rise up in faith and settle your heart on the Word of God. It is God's Word that reveals who God is as well as who you are in God. Circumstances may change, people may change, and emotions may change, but God’s Word remains immutable forever. Let His Word become the final authority over your identity, your calling, your future, and your confidence. Therefore if God has said it, believe it, and let that settle it.

Points to Remember:
1. Your identity is not determined by your past, your present circumstances, your weaknesses, or the opinions of people. As a born again believer, you must allow God's Word to define who you are and what He has placed within you.
2. When God's Word speaks concerning your life, choose to believe it even when your circumstances appear contrary, because faith rises when you give God's promises greater authority than what you can presently see.

Prayer:
* Father, help me to see myself through the truth of Your Word and not through the limitations of my experiences.
* Lord, give me the faith to believe everything You have spoken concerning my life.
* Holy Spirit, help me to reject every voice that contradicts God's Word and confidently walk in my identity and calling in Christ, in Jesus Name.
