Day 30: A Bidding Farewell to Ramaḍān 🌙

Ramaḍān is departing.

The nights of prayer, the days of fasting, the moments with the Qur'an, the tears in duʿā’ — all of it is now coming to an end.

The question now is not only what you did in Ramaḍān, but how you bid it farewell.

Allah says:

> وَلِتُكَبِّرُوا اللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا هَدَاكُمْ وَلَعَلَّكُمْ تَشْكُرُونَ
“So that you may glorify Allah for guiding you and so that you may be grateful.”
— Qur'an

The believer bids farewell to Ramaḍān with gratitude, humility, and hope.

Gratitude — because Allah allowed him to witness this month.
Humility — because he knows his deeds were full of shortcomings.
Hope — because he trusts in Allah’s mercy and acceptance.

Do not let Ramaḍān leave without asking Allah sincerely:

“O Allah, accept from us our fasting, our prayers, and our deeds.”

And remember: the Lord of Ramaḍān is the Lord of every month.

If Ramaḍān truly changed your heart, then let that change continue after it.

For the true farewell to Ramaḍān is not merely words —
it is holding firmly to the obedience you learned within it.

Day 29: Compensate With Ṣadaqat al-Fiṭr

As Ramaḍān comes to an end, Allah has prescribed Ṣadaqat al-Fiṭr so that the fasting person’s shortcomings may be corrected and the poor may share in the joy of the day of ʿEid.

Abdullah ibn Abbas said:

> “The Messenger of Allah ﷺ obligated Zakāt al-Fiṭr as a purification for the fasting person from idle talk and obscenities, and as food for the poor.”

— Sunan Abu Dawud 1609
— Sunan Ibn Majah

During Ramaḍān, a person may fall into shortcomings — moments of heedlessness, unnecessary speech, or mistakes that reduce the perfection of his fast.

Allah, out of His mercy, legislated Ṣadaqat al-Fiṭr to purify the fast and complete its reward.

At the same time, it ensures that the needy are provided with food so they too can celebrate the day of ʿEid without hardship.

So before the ʿEid prayer, give your Ṣadaqat al-Fiṭr sincerely and promptly.

It purifies your fasting.
It supports the poor.
And it completes the beautiful journey of Ramaḍān.

*Day 28: Hold Tight to Your Transformation*

Ramaḍān is almost leaving, but the changes it brought into your life should not leave with it.

During this month you prayed more, remembered Allah more, recited the Qur'an more, and tried to stay away from sins. Your heart softened, your habits improved, and your connection with Allah became stronger.

Do not let all of that disappear once Ramaḍān ends.

The Lord of Ramaḍān is the Lord of all months. The One you worshipped in Ramaḍān is the same One who deserves your worship after it.

Scholars have mentioned that the sign of an accepted deed is that a servant continues upon righteousness after it.

So hold firmly to the transformation you experienced.

Continue praying your prayers with care.

Continue reciting the Qur’an regularly.

Continue guarding your tongue, your eyes, and your heart.

Continue remembering Allah in private and in public.

Let Ramaḍān be a turning point, not just a temporary moment.

*Day 26: Fear That Your Deeds May Not Be Accepted*

As Ramaḍān nears its end, the believer should not only be concerned about doing *good deeds* , but about whether those deeds are *accepted by Allah.*

Allah describes the righteous:

> وَالَّذِينَ يُؤْتُونَ مَا آتَوْا وَقُلُوبُهُمْ وَجِلَةٌ أَنَّهُمْ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ رَاجِعُونَ
“And those who give what they give while their hearts are fearful because they will return to their Lord.”

— Qur'an 23:60

When this verse was mentioned, Aisha bint Abi Bakr asked the Prophet ﷺ whether it referred to those who commit sins such as theft or drinking alcohol.

The Prophet ﷺ clarified that it refers to those who pray, fast, and give charity, yet they fear that their deeds may not be accepted.

This is the state of the true believer.

He does good deeds, yet he does not feel secure about them. His heart remains humble, fearing rejection while hoping for acceptance.

The believer therefore lives between two wings: hope and fear.

Fear that his shortcomings may prevent his deeds from being accepted.

Hope in the vast mercy of Allah that He will accept even small deeds done sincerely.

Too much security leads to pride and negligence, while despair leads to giving up. But the balanced believer walks between hope and fear, continuing to strive while constantly asking Allah for acceptance.

So in these final nights of Ramaḍān, increase in duʿā’:

“O Allah, accept from us. Indeed, You are the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing.”

For the real success is not merely performing deeds — but that Allah accepts them.

Day 25: Khushūʿ in Ṣalāh — When the Heart Stands Before Allah

One of the greatest qualities of the successful believers is khushūʿ — humility, calmness, and presence of the heart in prayer.

Allah says:

Successful indeed are the believers — those who are humble in their prayer.”

— Qur'an 23:1–2

Ṣalāh is not merely standing, bowing, and prostrating. It is a moment when the servant stands directly before his Lord, speaking to Him and seeking His mercy.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

“When one of you stands to pray, he is conversing with his Lord.”

Khushūʿ happens when the heart is aware of this reality. When a person remembers who he is standing before, distractions begin to fade.

Think about it:
If someone important in this world were speaking to you, would your mind wander? Would you check your phone or think about other matters?

Yet in prayer we are standing before Allah, the Lord of the worlds.

Khushūʿ grows when we:

Understand what we recite from the Qur'an

Pray calmly without rushing

Remove distractions before prayer

Remember that this prayer could be our last

The scholars used to say that the portion of prayer accepted from a person is according to how present his heart was during it.

As the nights of Ramaḍān continue, try to improve your prayer — not only its length, but its presence and sincerity.

For a single prayer filled with khushūʿ may be more valuable than many prayers performed without reflection.

Day 21: Ask Allah for Forgiveness 🌙

Among the greatest supplications to make in these nights is the duʿā’ taught by the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when seeking Laylat al-Qadr.

ʿĀʾishah رضي الله عنها asked the Prophet ﷺ:

“O Messenger of Allah, if I know which night is Laylat al-Qadr, what should I say in it?”

He replied:

“Say: Allāhumma innaka ʿafuwwun tuḥibbul-ʿafwa faʿfu ʿannī.”
“O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love to forgive, so forgive me.”
— Sahih at-Tirmidhi

This duʿā’ is short, but its meaning is immense. It is a plea for Allah to erase sins completely and pardon His servant.

Repeat it often in these nights, with a heart that truly seeks forgiveness.

Perhaps one sincere moment of repentance may be the reason Allah forgives a lifetime of sins. 🌙

*What To Recite In The Last Ten Nights Of Ramaḍān.*

‘Ā`ishah رضي الله عنها reported: I asked: “O Messenger of Allāh! If I know which night is Laylat-ul-Qadr (Night of Decree), what should I supplicate in it?”

He ﷺ replied:

“You should supplicate:
اللهم إنك عفو تحب العفو فاعف عني

'Allaahumma Innaka 'Afuwwun Tuḥibbul 'Afwa Fa'fu 'Annee’

(O Allāh, indeed You are the One who pardons and You love to pardon; so pardon me).”

● [رواه الترمذي برقم ٣٥١٣ وصححه الألباني في صحيح الجامع برقم ٤٤٢٣]

⚠ IMPORTANT NOTE ⚠

Sh. al-Albānī Raḥimahullāh explained in Silsilatul Aḥādeeth aṣ-Saḥīḥah no. 3337:

“.. And I warn people that it occurs in Sunan at-Timridhee that there is addition of the word ❌Kareem❌ after 'Affuw’ when this Du'ā is mentioned, it has NO BASIS when one looks at the aforementioned sources, also an-Nisā`ee transmitted this Du'ā through the same Sanad as at-Tirmidhee without mentioning the word ❌Kareem❌, so what is apparent is that this word was mistakenly added by those who came later and made copies of at-Tirmidhee’s Sunan and by the publishers who printed it, Allāhu A'lam.”

Day 20: Seek Laylat al-Qadr 🌙

The last ten nights of Ramaḍān have begun, and within them lies the greatest night — Laylat al-Qadr.

Allah says:

> “The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.”
— Qur'an 97:3

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

> “Seek Laylat al-Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramaḍān.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari

Increase your worship in these nights and seek Laylat al-Qadr for its immense reward. 🌙

Day 19: The Last Ten Nights Are Approaching 🌙

As Ramaḍān draws closer to its final days, the most blessed nights of the month are about to begin.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ would increase his efforts in worship during these nights more than at any other time. ʿĀʾishah رضي الله عنها said:

> “When the last ten nights of Ramaḍān began, the Prophet ﷺ would tighten his waistcloth, spend the night in worship, and wake his family.”
— Sahih al-Bukhari
— Sahih Muslim

This shows the seriousness with which the Prophet ﷺ approached these nights. He did not treat them like ordinary nights. He increased in prayer, remembrance, and devotion, and he encouraged his family to do the same.

The last ten nights contain Laylat al-Qadr, a night better than a thousand months.

Prepare yourself from now. Renew your intention, increase in duʿā’, and strive to make the most of the nights that remain.

The opportunity is great, and the time is short.
