WISDOM FOR PEACE 2!
When He gave to the sea its limit and His decree that the waters should not transgress [across the boundaries set by] His command, when He appointed the foundations of the earth - Proverb 8:29 [AMP]
The wisdom for peace is to set boundaries, it is better to set boundaries to avoid conflicts, than to manage it. Where there is no clearly set boundaries, or set but not recognized, it will lead to power tussle. Can you imagine a country without borders? And any country that chose not to bother about the border of another country is asking for war.
The truth is that there is penalty for failure to recognize the already set boundaries. Despite the fact that God had set clearly defined boundaries for everything, Lucifer still decided to rebel, which led to conflicts in heaven and he was cast out, as it is written, "How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground... For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation..." Isaiah 14:12-13. For passing over his boundary he was casted into hell together with his angels, as it is written, "And I remind you of the angels who did not stay within the limits of authority God gave them but left the place where they belonged. God has kept them chained in prisons of darkness, waiting for the day of judgment." Jude 1:6 [NLT]. For instance, to avoid rift in a working environment, the superior needs to set boundaries and emphasize the set boundaries from time to time while subordinates should learn to recognize their boundaries.
You see, adultery is passing over your boundary, as it is written, "Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned? Can one go upon hot coals, and his feet not be burned? So he that goeth in to his neighbour's wife; whosoever toucheth her shall not be innocent." Proverbs 6:27-29. That is, he that chose not to recognize set boundary will pay dearly for it. Pharaoh and Joseph had a smooth administration not because they came from the same language speaking country but because they understood the language of boundary setting. Pharaoh said, "Thou shalt be over my house, and according unto thy word shall all my people be ruled: only in the throne will I be greater than thou." Genesis 41:40. Pharaoh made it clear that the throne is out of bound to Joseph but that he can exercise his authority any other places. And even after Joseph became so powerful he didn't rebel to replace Pharaoh on the throne. I believe he learnt to recognize set boundaries in the house of Potiphar when the wife crushed on him, "But he refused, and said unto his master's wife, Behold, my master wotteth not what is with me in the house, and he hath committed all that he hath to my hand; There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife..." Genesis 39:8-9. He didn’t take advantage, because Potiphar had set the boundaries so clear that Joseph knew that his wife is not part of the deal. And that helped him greatly to maintained his boundary when he finally arrived at the palace.
WHAT YOU MUST DO:
To set a clearly defined boundaries, you must:
1. Define every relationship.
2. Make every job description very plain.
3. Place a value tag and banner of honour on yourself and all yours.
4. Maintain strict adherence and never let down your guard.
5. Outline penalties for each boundary.
6. Never be timid to carry out the penalties.
PRAY THIS PRAYER:
Father, help me to maintain my boundary to avoid crisis and rebellion in Jesus name.
I PRAY FOR YOU:
In this season you shall enjoy the peace of God that passes all understanding, you shall be an envy of nations, and no matter the state of things in the nation, your realm shall be quiet in Jesus name.
