A 16-year-old girl once told me something that broke my heart.
She said, “I don’t like looking in the mirror anymore.”
Not because anything was wrong with her.But because the internet told her something was.
Every day she saw perfect faces.Perfect skin.Perfect bodies.Perfect smiles.
And slowly, she started hating:her skin, her body shape, her face, her natural self.
What she didn’t know was this:
Most of what she admired was edited.Filtered.Adjusted.Artificial.
But her pain was real.
And maybe that girl is you.
Maybe you’ve stood in front of a mirror and wished you looked different.Maybe you’ve hidden parts of yourself.Maybe you’ve compared your body until you forgot your worth.
Listen carefully:
Your body is not your enemy.Your body is not your identity.Your body is not your value.
This body breathes for you. This body carries your dreams. This body keeps you alive.
Confidence is not perfection.Confidence is acceptance.
The moment you respect your body:you stop comparing, you stop hiding, you stop hating yourself.
And something powerful happens ,you finally become free.
Self-acceptance is power.
Love yourself fully.
