The Corinthian church found itself in the midst of a crisis, grappling with attitudes that starkly contradicted the very kingdom they professed to believe in. Fast forward to today, and we see a similar scenario unfolding around us. Many individuals carry attitudes and make choices that don’t reflect the values of the kingdom they claim to belong to.

What’s striking is that a lot of people still struggle to grasp the true meaning of a kingdom. They fail to see that they’ve been liberated from one realm, a realm that should hold no allure for them anymore. Yet, some persist in clinging to the shadows of this old kingdom while simultaneously declaring their allegiance to God’s kingdom, dragging along all the baggage from the kingdom of darkness. It’s a perplexing contradiction, and one that we need to confront in our lives today.
