Theme: Be Endue With Power From On High (Luke 24:49)
Date: 19-25 July 2021
Speech of National Youth Fellowship (NYF) to mark 2021 Youth’s Week
Greetings to you in the name of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We believe that in the midst of these challenges and turbulence, God’s mercies and faithfulness have not left us alone. May we, continue to find help in time of need in Jesus name.
Brethren, it is obvious that our generation is fulfilling the end-time prophecies. Hard times are here, 2Timothy 3:1-5, false Apostle, Prophets everywhere 2Corinthians 11:13-15, people are departing from the faith because of the challenges of life. 1Timothy 4:1. Therefore we need to take heed to ourselves lest we be deceived and fall away.
We call on all youths of UMCA at this moment of deliberately tarry in the place of prayer and fellowship so as to be endued with power from on high. The absence of this power from on high is the reason why several today are returning to the altar of the devil to seek alternatives. Fear has pushed many to worship demons and seeking charms for protection. May we not return to ancient vomit in Jesus name.
We seize this opportunity to appreciate our CDSs, Local Church Ministers, Men and Women Fellowships, our Fathers and Mothers for your support and prayer all these years. We also at this point seek to inform you that we, your children the UMCA Youths will be hosting the National Annual TEKAN Convention 2021. This meeting is expected to host about five thousand Youths from seventeen denominations all over the nation for four days. We solicit your support as a Church and as individuals. To this note, a few members of your congregation may receive our letters if it has not gotten to you already. May the Lord in his Mercy preserve us and grant us a successful convention.
Finally, brethren be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might, keep the fire burning until the return of our master. Wishing you a happy Youth week celebration.
