Message Title: The Victory in Christ Jesus
Text: 1 Corinthians 15:54–58
Victory is the successful outcome of a battle, conflict, or difficult situation. However, victory cannot exist without contention. Many people misunderstand the concept of victory, but true victory belongs to those who are saved through Christ Jesus.
Without victory, there is no experience of salvation or the fullness of God's grace. The victory Christ secured through His death and resurrection is what brings believers into true liberty. It is only through Christ's victory that anyone can experience complete and lasting triumph.
What the Victory in Christ Gives Us
1. Victory over Sin and Death
Through Christ, believers have overcome the power of sin and death. The victory God has given us in the Spirit gives us the confidence, boldness, and assurance that all things are possible through Christ Jesus.
2. The Certificate of Justification- Romans 8:29–33
Christ's victory grants every believer the certificate of justification before God. We are declared righteous, no longer condemned, and accepted as God's own through faith in Jesus Christ.
In conclusion, the victory we have in Christ Jesus is not temporary or based on human strength, it is an eternal victory secured through His death and resurrection. This victory delivers us from the power of sin and death, justifies us before God, and gives us the confidence to live triumphantly in every circumstance. Therefore, as 1 Corinthians 15:58 admonishes, let us remain steadfast, immovable, and always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labour in Him is never in vain. As believers, we are not fighting for victory; we are living from the victory that Christ has already won for us.
