A Christian's perspective plays a crucial role in his/her spiritual growth.

First of all, a Christian is not someone who fulfils religious obligation. A Christian is someone who has received the life of Christ by faith in His finished work, that is, he/she has experienced the new(spiritual) birth.

Now that you know who a Christian is, the question is Are you a Christian?

As a Christian, it is expedient that you know that being born again is just the beginning of your walk with God. You will be limited in so many ways if you don't grow in this new life you have in Christ. Your spiritual growth is a major factor that ascertains your all round growth. Your spiritual growth is non-negotiable. You need to grow.

But then, your perspective matters. The way you view things will determine your growth. Your perspective should never be short of the word of God.

People of the world view things based on feelings and experiences(either good or bad) but as sons of God, we view things from the lens of God's word. That is why when a serious challenge is looking us in the eye, we can laugh knowing fully well that the Bible says "... rejoice for I have overcome the world". That is spiritual maturity.

To have your perspective shaped by the word of God, soak yourself in the word of God. This is not just a mere act of reading the Bible for intellectual knowledge. You study it with a burning desire to know more of the person of Christ. You can't genuinely spend time with God's word and not enjoy fellowship with Him. And as you fellowship with Him, your outlook to life begins to change. That is maturity.

Always bear in mind that your perspective as a Christian plays a crucial role in your spiritual growth. Let God's word shape your perspective.

The problem of humanity is trying to be independent of God. This is why evil vices keep increasing on a daily basis.

Rev. Toluwalogo Agboola said, "God's life-giving presence is the source of light for all humanity. Separation from God is what constitutes darkness".

Despite the thickness of the darkness in the world, the good news is you are a light in this world. Yes, you are.😀

Every Child of God has the life-giving presence of God in him/her. And since the source of light(God's presence) dwells in you, you have become a light in every dark corner.

Sin was what separated man from God but Jesus, the God-man, breached the gap between God and man through his finished work. Your faith in the finished work of Christ is what gives you access to the very life of God.

No matter how much you keep trying, as long as you are still independent of God, you will never be satisfied. You know why? It's simply because nothing in this world can satisfy.

Accept the finished work of Christ today so that you can have the life of God in you. Remember, the life of God is the source of light. If darkness is not going to prevail over you, then you need the life of God to dwell in you.

If you have the life of God, then you are a light to your generation, frustrating effortlessly every unfruitful work of darkness. So, SHINE! ✨

Comments like these make you feel like you've got the whole revelation knowledge. To a great extent, you now believe almost every preacher preaches error. Ok, your eyes go soon clear.

Until you start experiencing a major challenge, you realize that the revelation knowledge you claim to have is not working for you.

This is the stage where some begin to doubt God and end up slipping into unbelief. 😳

The first thing to do when you receive a revelation is not to rush to your WhatsApp status. Dwell on the revelation, meditate on it till it becomes real in your heart. That is when your consciousness of the person of God advances. So when challenges come, you navigate it from the place of rest without slipping into confusion and unbelief.

Yes, you. If you are guilty of this habit of rushing to your status any time you receive a revelation, stop it!

It's not good for your spiritual health. Most times, people who do that end up in frustration and confusion. We pray that it will never be your lot in Jesus' name.

At times, when God gives you an assignment, you tend to get anxious as to how to go about it, how to fund it, where to start from, etc. This is due to the character of the human nature. But the truth is, God has prepared you even before he called you.

𝐄𝐱𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐬 𝟑𝟏:𝟔𝐛 [𝐀𝐌𝐏𝐋𝐈𝐅𝐈𝐄𝐃]
confirms it.

"...𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘨𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶:"

So there's no point getting anxious if you'd succeed or not. Anxiousness, if given room, can choke your vision.

Jonah almost missed it by avoiding his assignment to Nineveh. He probably might have felt that the people of Nineveh were too wicked to repent. Can you imagine that?

His mind was so occupied with the thought of their wickedness that he lost the awareness of the potency of the word of God in his mouth to cause them to become remorseful and repent.

See, it is normal for your human nature to fidget even after reading a verse like 𝐋𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝟏𝟎:𝟒 [𝐓𝐏𝐓]. Just take a look at the verse 👇🏼

"𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘯𝘦𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘺𝘰𝘶—𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘎𝘰𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘦. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘺 𝘱𝘶𝘳𝘱𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘺 𝘢𝘯𝘺𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺."

Imagine still getting worked up after reading this🙄 Somebody say
"𝖓𝖔𝖙 𝖒𝖊". The only antidote to this is the reformation of the way you think; King James calls it renewing of your mind.

You knew how limited you were before encountering Christ. As you keep feasting on God's word about you, your soul keeps coming into the consciousness of your ability in Christ.

Take a look at Philippians 4:13 [AMPLIFIED]

It takes a heart fixated on this truth to understand that God has prepared him well before commissioning him. That is why you should never joke with the consistent study of God's word.

God has prepared you for that assignment before he called you. So, take it up and move forward in Jesus' name.

"God's Spirit works on our will as we renew our minds with His Word"

What does it mean to renew your mind?

Rom 12:2(The Passion Translation) defines it as a reformation of how you think. This implies that there was a way you used to think before you receive the life of Christ. This way of thinking does not automatically change completely the day you experienced new birth.

TPT 1 Peter 2:2
"In the same way that nursing infants cry for milk, you must intensely crave the pure spiritual milk of God’s Word. For this “milk” will cause you to grow into maturity, fully nourished and strong for life."

Beloved, it takes a deliberate and consistent action of studying God's word in the light of Christ for your mind to switch from its former school of thought to the one that is in alignment with the new life in you: the very life of God.

As your way of thinking changes, the Holy Spirit works on your will, bringing it under obedience to the will of God.

The charge for you today is to intensely crave for the pure spiritual milk of God's word. This makes it easy for you to discern God's will.

As a child of God, you are not just a light. You are a SOURCE of LIGHT. That automatically makes you an influence.

But how come darkness still seems to gain an upper hand even in the presence of Light in some cases? 🙄

Check it well; it's definitely because you are not radiating. That implies that you are hiding your identity (LIGHT).

Rev. Toluwalogo Agboola said, "The best way to overcome darkness is to radiate light".

If you don't radiate, evil will prevail. And if care is not taken, it might end up rubbing off its influence on you.

You are called to shine in every areas of your life, your academics inclusive.

Make significant difference in all strata because that is the capacity you carry.

Without shouting, your capacity will do the talking but you must RADIATE because you are LIGHT.

You can't afford to settle for less when God has made you the best.
