✍️TOPIC: THE QUICKENING POWER OF THE WORD I
📖 “7 I am afflicted very much: quicken me, O LORD, according unto thy word.” Psalm 119:107 (KJV)

The word “Quicken” simply mean “to give life and to preserve life”. According to criptures, the Holy Spirit is the one who gives life; quickens us while the word of God is the instrument that the Holy Spirit uses to accomplish this work. (II PETER 3:18, ROM. 8:11)

It is through God’s word that the Holy Spirit quicken us with new life, so that we become partakers of the Divine nature. Ephi. 2:1 tells us that we are dead spiritually and when the miracle of New Birth takes place,, we are quickened by the Holy Spirit to be seated in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. This is the first work of quickening by the Holy Spirit according to the word of God.

It is through God’s word that the Holy Spirit quickens us in our desire to pray and guides our praying. It is the indwelling Holy Spirit who prompts us to pray and how to pray. As Christians, we must be frequently conscious of the Holy Spirit within us, urging us to pray. He leads us to the place of prayer and then, He shows us how to pray. (Luke 18:13, Rom. 8:26-27)

Dear believers in Christ, we must be conscious of these activities in our lives. The more we stay in the word of God, the more we will be familiar with the quickening of the Holy Spirit.

📖 “O how love I thy law! it is my meditation all the day.” Psalm 119:97 (KJV)

The Bible is the instrument of the Holy Spirit uses to convict the world of sin and establish the reign of righteousness. The Bible shows us that we are sinners in deeds, and this is the reason why most people don’t read their bible because it reveals their sinners to them. When we are humbled by word, it gives room for repentance and equally draws us closer to God. (John 16:8, Ephi. 6:17)

The word of God is the instrument the Holy Spirit uses to disciple and mature the saints, into the fullness of Christ. It is our discipleship manual and compass to measure our spiritual growth. The word is the sincere milk for growth and also a strong meat for adult. No believer can grow beyond the word of God, and as long as we live, we will forever be regulate by the Word. (I Peter 2:2, Heb. 5:14, Act 20:32)

The word of God also comforts us in times of troubles and tribulation. It is the hope of believers and a guide to overcome the devils. The Holy Spirit walks in partnership with the word of God to comfort us at every season of life, and to breathe strength into his spirit man, whenever we are face with temptation. (Matt. 4:1-12)

The Word is potent enough to do beyond our expectations. The problem with many believers is that, they are reading the Bible with a religious point of view. The Word will have no effects in their life, if they go beyond the veil and come into life abundantly, through the word.

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” Heb. 4:12(KJV)

This new week, I declare that I am walking in God’s favor, peace, protection, and blessings. Every closed door that is not meant for me will remain closed, and every door God has prepared for me will open at the right time. 🙏

May this week bring good news, new opportunities, divine direction, and testimonies. I will not lack, I will not fear, and I will not be defeated. This is my week of grace, growth, and breakthrough! Amen. ❤️🔥

It is true to say that the love of the word of God is like a thermometer by which we may tell the temperature of our love for the Lord himself. The measure in which we love the Bible will determine the measure in which we love him; and conversely, as we love him so shall love his wor. (Psalm 199: 24, 47, 103)

There are plenty people who hate the Bible ; there have always been those who are enemies of the Bible. Some have tried to destroy it but have never succeeded. Those who hate and reject God’s word do so primarily because they are not willing to submit to its authority and live according to its teaching

The people of old viewed the word of God as a manual for salvation and societal transformation for kingdom expansion. They lived their lives in supernatural because they valued and cherished the word of God with passion and hunger. Some of them even lay down their lives for the word of spread. It means that the word of God is worth dying for (Act 6&7)

Dear people of God, I admonish us all to take Bible as God’s spoken word to us daily. It is from the Word that we find strength to rule our world. Let us allow the Holy Spirit to breathe his breath on us from His word. The live without the word of God is prone to attacks and a life of fear. The word is first written, before it is living.

📖 “I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me.” Habakkuk 2:1 (KJV)

There are seasons in life when God seems silent. We pray, we wait, we trust, yet the answer does not come when we expect it. In such moments, it is easy to mistake God’s silence for His absence. But silence does not mean that God is not working.

Habakkuk was in a difficult season. He had questions and needed answers, yet instead of abandoning his faith, he positioned himself to hear from God. This teaches us that when we do not understand what God is doing, our responsibility is not to run away from Him but to wait upon Him.

Sometimes, God uses the waiting season to strengthen our faith, develop our character and prepare us for what is ahead. We may not see what He is doing, but His work does not depend on our ability to see it.

Dear people of God, if you are in a season of waiting, do not give up. Continue to pray, continue to trust and continue to obey God. The delay may be preparing you for something greater than what you presently understand.

Let us learn to trust God even when we cannot trace Him. His silence is not His absence, and His delay is not His denial.
