*Dear Parents, Do Not Prevent Your Children From Going Through The Pain of Discipline*

There are things that parents do that make me wonder if they know the implications.

In my teaching career, I've come to realize that children who are well
brought up produce better results.

What I see these days is training the "butty"(aje butter) way which gets me scared of what will happen in the next 10-15 years.

I see eight year olds who don't bother to lay their beds.

I see 10 year olds served by the maid or "caring mum" on the table and they either don't pack the table or they just dump the plates in the kitchen for the maid or "caring mum" to wash.

Drivers carry the bags of
children above 5 years and the children call them "my driver".

Manual clothe washing is
gradually been replaced by washing machines, yet, the maid or "caring mum" will be the one to do the laundry.

Children wake up and go straight to the TV and sleep late watching TV with mum & dad but mum & dad don't allow them read late.

They'll say "go and sleep". I see parents play game for hours on their phones, yet wonder why their children don't read and why their results are poor, despite investment in expensive schools.

I see tweenagers and teenagers who can't cook common white rice because there's maid, nanny, cook, "caring mum" etc.

I see children who are addicted to cheating in exams, assignments, class work and the parents aren't taking conscious steps to correct it. Instead, some will bribe teachers to make their children first, teach them during external exams or take them to "miracle centres" to write their exams.

I see children who talk to their parents and other adults disrespectfully and all the parents say is "children of now a days
are outspoken".

Your children's wardrobe is full of clothes but they don't have a single book.

You buy them lots of toys but you didn't buy them books.

I can go on and on.

See, when next you tell your child not to do house chores, study hard etc., have it at the back of your mind that what you're saying is "don't take responsibility for your life".

I guess parents don't know that chores and morals are almost directly proportional to academic performance.

Haven't you thought of it that when our forefathers went to farm, fetched water etc., before or after school, the world was a better place?

Haven't you thought of it that our local proverbs which have remained relevant were coined by unlettered men and women?

A Hausa proverb says, "Ka so naka, duniya ta 'ki shi..." favour your son and the world will reject him..." (vice-versa)

A Yoruba proverb also says, "eni anwo ki wooran"... "those who
make news don't watch news".

So when you're mentoring your children to be T.V. addicts, you should understand what you're grooming them to be.

There are TWO PAINS in life and everyone must suffer one; PAIN OF DISCIPLINE or PAIN OF REGRET.

When you're preventing your children from going through pain of discipline, just understand that you're automatically preparing them for pain of regret.

Some parents feel that their children's careers are secured because of their financial stand.

Now, let's do this analysis;

1. You get your children jobs.
2. You make them take over your company.
3. You set up a business for them.

1. If you get them jobs and they have the wrong attitude at work like being late, talking rudely to clients etc which made the company lose a big contract, will they keep them there?
2. They take over your company and your company lost within three months an amount that you didn't make in your first five years in business due to their lack of discipline, will you pat them on the head and say I'm proud of you child?
3. They run the business shabbily and there's nothing to show for it within few years.

The earlier we stop these
pampering, the better.

You will give an account to God on them.

Train your child in the way he should go and when he is old, he won't depart from it.

THIS PRICELESS PIECE IS TO ALL MOTHERS!!

How can I Explain this?
I mean what some mothers go through?
The pains?
The stretch mark?
The shapeless body?
The flappy tummy? Some of them use corset and body Magic to hide it. Some of them use push up bra to feel sexy but when they get into the bathroom, naked and see the real body , they remind themselves that they produced a creature, a human being.
Please women learn to love yourself. Love your body. MOTHERHOOD is a beautiful thing.
I pray that those trying for a child will get PREGNANT.

Men, learn to love your WIVES. What they go through isn't easy. They don't need you to MISBEHAVE,
They don't want you to CHEAT on them.
They don't want you to BEAT them. They don't want you to DENY them their RIGHTS.
All they need is LOVE , TRANSPARENCY, CARE and SUPPORT. After all these suffering some men without conscience hit their WIVES.
Some don't care if she has EATEN . Some even abandon her to cater for the BABY.
Some spend more on their GIRLFRIENDS forgetting they have a NURSING WIFE at home. On judgement day, I wonder the excuse you will give God for maltreating your WIFE.

Some men even have the guts to tell their wives that she is not a woman just because she delivered through CS
I believe a true woman is the one who had her child(ren) through surgery. She has to go through pains. Serious pains.
She has to deny herself food for days at least 3days.
She can't eat normal food for a month.
She can't even bath herself well. Unlike the va**na birth.
MEN, no matter the method of delivery treat her like a QUEEN. For a MOTHER and CHILD to come out alive is GOD'S GRACE.
PREGNANCY and LABOUR is between LIFE and DEATH. Learn to respect WOMEN (MOTHERS ).

This write-up is DEDICATED to all MOTHERS and would be MOTHERS.

LEAD YOUR CHILDREN TO CHRIST

'Memorise his laws and tell them to your children over and over.'
Deuteronomy 6:6-7 CEV

It's not easy being a Christian parent in a world where peer pressure feels as if it's crushing down on you; where values are at an all-time low and immorality at an all-time high. But with God's help you can do it!

TO LEAD YOUR CHILDREN TO CHRIST, DO THESE FIVE THINGS:

(1) Begin when they're young, and read Bible stories to them each night. Let them hear you pray for them to know Jesus personally, constantly thanking him for dying for their sins.

(2) As you take them to church, explain what the various rituals and seasons (Baptism, the Lord's Supper, Easter and Christmas) represent, and why they're observed and celebrated.

(3) Be sensitive to every spiritual question they ask, and take the time to answer their questions in a way they can understand.

(4) Buy them Christian DVDs and cartoons that will present Bible truths on their level.

(5) Trust the Holy Spirit to give you wisdom at the right time to present the Gospel to them, and pray for their salvation continuously.
On one occasion D.L. Moody reported 'two and one-half conversions' at a service he conducted. Someone said, 'I suppose you mean two adults and one child.' 'No,' Mr Moody replied. 'I mean two children and one adult. The children can give their whole lives to God, but an adult has only half a life left to give.'

And remember, the things we learn best are the things we hear most. So: 'Memorise his laws and tell them to your children over and over' (Deuteronomy 6:6-7 CEV).

*TIPS ON HOW TO REMAIN POOR*
*1. _Never wake up early._* Keep stretching and turning in bed until you get too
hungry to continue dozing. If there are no bed bugs, why hurry to get up?
*2. _Never plan how to spend your money._* Whenever you get money, start
spending it right away and when it's finished, you try to count and recall how you
spent it. *3. _Don't think of saving until you have real big money._* How can you save when
you earn so little? Those telling you to save are not sympathetic to your burning
needs.
*4. _Don't engage in activities usually reserved for the "uneducated"._* How can
you, a graduate, engage in petty trade, network marketing or home-based
production? That's for people who never went to school! *5. _Don't think of starting a business until an angel comes from heaven and gives
you capital._* How do they expect you to invest before you get millions? Even
though more than half the businesses in your town were started with little capital,
you as a smart person can only start with millions.
*6. _Complain about everything except your own attitude and laziness._* Blame
the system, the government and the banks that refused to lend you money. They are all bad and do not want you to get rich.
*7. _Spend more than you earn._* To achieve this, buy consumer products on
credit and keep borrowing from friends and employers.
*8. _Compete in dressing._* Make sure you're wearing the latest clothes.
Intimidate the congregation with your trendy fashions every Sunday. Whenever
your neighbour buys a new phone, you get one that is more expensive. *9. _Get yourself a nice second hand car_* that costs more than three times your
yearly salary.
*10. _Give your children everything they ask for since you're such a loving parent._*
They should not struggle for anything because you do not want them to suffer that
way, they will grow up lazy and hence poor enough to ensure they can't help you at
old age If you don't want this to be your fate.. ACT DIFFERENTLY!

THE STORY BEHIND THE SONG “I HAVE DECIDED TO FOLLOW JESUS”
About 150 years ago, there was a greatrevival in Wales, England.
As a result of this, many missionaries came from England to northeast India to
spread the Gospel.
The region was known as Assam and comprised hundreds of tribes.
The tribal communities were quite primitive and aggressive. The tribesmen were also called head-hunters because of a social custom which
required the male members of the community to collect as many heads as possible.
A man’s strength and ability to protect his wife was assessed by the number of
heads he had collected.
Therefore, a youth of marriageable age would try and collect as many heads as
possible and hang them on the walls of his house. The more heads a man had, the more eligible he was considered.
Into this hostile and aggressive community, came a group of Welsh missionaries
spreading the message of love, peace, and hope of Jesus Christ.
Naturally, they were not welcomed.
One Welsh missionary finally succeeded in converting a man, his wife, and two
children. This man’s faith proved contagious and many villagers began to accept
Christianity.
Angry, the village chief summoned all the villagers.
He then called the family who had first converted to renounce their faith in public
or face ex*****on.
Moved by the Holy Spirit, the man sung his reply, “I have decided to follow Jesus. No turning back.”
Enraged at the refusal of the man, the chief ordered his archers to arrow down the
two children.
As both boys lay twitching on the floor,
the chief asked,
“Will you deny your faith? You have lost both your children.You will lose your wife too.”
But the man replied, again singing,
“Though none go with me, still I will follow, No turning back.”
The chief was beside himself with fury and ordered his wife to be arrowed down.
In a moment she joined her two children in death.
Now he asked for the last time, “I will give you one more opportunity to deny your faith and live.”
In the face of death the man sung,
“The cross before me, the world behind me. No turning back. No turning back.”
He was shot dead like the rest of his family.
But with their deaths, a miracle took place.
The chief who had ordered the killings was moved by the faith of the man. He wondered,
“Why should this man, his wife and two children die for a Man who lived in a far-
away land on another continent some 2,000 years ago?
There must be some supernatural power behind the family,
and I too want that supernatural power.”
In a spontaneous confession of faith, he declared, “I too belong to Jesus Christ!”
When the crowd heard this from the mouth of their chief,
the whole village accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.
What have you ever done for Jesus christ?
Jesus wants you to make that decision to Following Him today because tomorrow
might be late.

expected and when you least expect HIM the Almighty GOD shall manifest HIS
