As children of God, His plans for us is to live our life to the fullest, the patriarchs in Genesis 5, lived their lives to the fullest, sin came and robbed us of this great opportunity. We should be rest assured that God in his word has promised us longevity which is long life, so we must know that death has no place in our lives when we walk with Him.
In the word of God, it states that Christ has already won the battle over everything that can cause death whether it be sickness, affliction, terminal disease on the cross of Calvary, and so with this words of encouragement and assurance, we don't have any reason whatsoever to panic or be troubled because we are overcomers in Christ

If you want this long life that Christ has promised in his word, then you must be able to abide by the conditions listed below:
1) Keep his commandments and walk in his ways (Proverbs 3:1-2) (Deuteronomy 4:40)
2) Worship God and serve him: when you serve God, he says he will bless your bread and water and he will take away sickness from you (Exodus 23:25) (Job 36:11)
3) Live a life of righteousness (Psalm 92:12): Run away from sin because it leads to destruction. but live righteously and you will flourish
4) Honour your parents (Ephesians 6:1-3) (Exodus 20:12)
Children should honour their parents because this is the very greatest commandment that Christ laid great emphasis on and by doing that, long life is assured
5) Fear God: in all you do, always have it at the back of your mind to fear him (Proverbs 10:27) (Psalm 34:11-12)
6) Guard your tongue: whatever you declare with your tongue is what happens to you, so you should be very careful of things you declare to yourself so that your life won't be cut short. Psl 34:13,James 1:26, 3:5-8
As you abide by these ways listed above, longevity is yours
