TOPIC: THE CHURCH OF GOD.
TEXT: ACTS 2:42-47. ACTS 9:1-5.

THE word church is called ECCLESSIA in Greek language and QAHAL in Hebrew language -
1. THE CALLED OUT ONE, 1 Peter 2:9
2. THE GATHERING OF GOD'S PEOPLE
3. OR THE ASSEMBLY OF SAINTS. The first church started with Moses and Isreal when they came out of Egypt. Exodus 5:1-2. But the father of the called out one was Abraham. GEN 12:1.
The only reason why Jesus came into the world to die and resurrect is because of the church of God. Nothing more. The building is not the church nor the instrument but we the people inside the building .
So, if anyone try to destroy the purpose why Jesus came into the world for, God will fight such individual.

NOTE THESE 3 THINGS.
1. GOD LOVE HIS CHURCH. church is Christ's Wife . Ephesians 5:23,25, Psalms 87:1-3.
2.GOD WILL BUILD HIS CHURCH. Mathew 16:18.
3.GOD WILL FIGHT ANYONE THAT TRY TO DESTROY HIS CHURCH. Acts 9:1,5.

5 PURPOSES OF THE CHURCH OF GOD.
1. WORSHIP. That is loving and serving God with all your heart and soul. Mathew 22:37
2.MINISTRY. That is serving others in love. Acts 13:2. The church is called to be the hands and feet of Jesus.... Going to and stretching to where christ has not been to while on earth physically.
3.EVANGELISM. Reaching out to the lost soul and bringing them back to the church. Proverbs 11:30
4.FELLOWSHIP. Loving one another with the love of GOD And sharing things in common. . Acts 2:42-43, John 13:35.
5.DISCIPLESHIP. Growing in christ to maturity and raising christ like leaders . Mathew 28:20.

MY ROLE IN THE BODY OF CHRIST.
1. Love God church and care for it. Heb 13:1, John 13:34-35
2. Give room for mistake and error of people because you have your mistakes
3. Always ensure that you're not a agent deriving people out of church God.
4. Don't spread rumor about anyone in the church of God. 1 peter 4:15

The power of resurrection of Christ is the glory for all the saint both in death and still living.

WHAT THE POWER DO..?
1. IT breaks the old and create the new covenant. Heb 9:15-17
2. Gives dress access to God. Eph 2:16-19, 2:13-14
3. Destroy the power of sin and death. 1 corin 15:54-57
4. Gives us total freedom on earth. Exo 12:13
5. Gives us gift of the holy ghost. Eph 4:8-12

TOPIC: CONSECRATION.
TEXT: Isaiah 52:10-12.

Today is Palm Sunday, this kind of message is very scarce in our today's world but such a message is what is preparing us for our greater tomorrow.

WHAT IS CONSECRATION :
1. It is an act of being set apart for God and his purpose on earth.
2.To be wholly dedicated to the Lord. Like Samuel
3.It's Yielding Completely to God. Hymns 735.
Gba aye mi, Oluwa,
Mo ya si mimo fun O,
Gba gbogbo akoko mi,
Ki won kun fun iyin Re.

4.To be lost in God. Phil 3:7.
5.To surrender completely for God's use.
6.It is unadulterated passion for God.
7.It is an act of investing on God : your time, resources and energy.
THE word CONSECRATION can be used interchangeably for DEDICATION . It almost means the same thing in the spiritual aspect.

PROOFS OF CONSECRATION.
1. LOVE FOR GOD'S PRESENCE. Psalms 42:1-2, mk 12:29, psalms 63:1,8.
2.LOVE FOR HIS HOUSE. Psalms 122:1, heb 10:25, psalms 84:7,10. Many love football house, peteru sport, many love cinema and watching movies. Beloved, you look like what you look at and you become what you behold consistently.
3.LOVE FOR SESSIONS OF PRAYERS. Gen 19:27, Mark 1:35, psalms 55:17, Daniel 6:10.. When you are always happy going to the place of prayer often, it's a perfect sign that you are a consecrated fellow before God. In fact prayer is an act of consecration.
4.LOVE FOR THE SCRIPTURE. Psalms 119:127, 159, Jeremiah 15:16. Always remember that the picture of your future is in the scripture.
5.LOVE TO GIVE TO HIS CAUSE. John 3:16, 1John 3:16, 2 cor 8:3-4, 2 Samuel 24:24. Any love that does not translate into giving is FAKE. It is not about volume but about value.

In conclusion,
1. Your consecration for God is non negotiable if you want to become a high flier in the kingdom of God.
2. You can never be a consecrated person without the help of the holy ghost because for by strength shall no man prevail.
