TOPIC: DON'T GIVE UP
TEXT: Isaiah 41:10-13., psalms 108:1-5.
INTRODUCTION:
Dont give up means
1. Don't surrender
2.Dont back down but fired up.
3.Dont get cold, but be hot for God.
IN a time like this, our Jesus reign, so don't give up. Situation may not be palatable and terrible in the country, but the message from the Lord is still saying, DONT GIVE UP. When it seems, things are not going as you planned it, God sees and knows, so don't give up. It may look as if shame is around the corner, relax, beloved, God is still saying, DONT GIVE UP.
IN John 11:23, Jesus said to Martha, relax don't give up, Lazarus shall rise again.
IN Luke 7:13-14, Jesus met a widow whose only son just died and about to go and be buried, he said unto her, Don't give up and weep no more, and the son came back to life.
IN mark 5:43-45, a blind man called bartmeaus met Jesus and Jesus told him not to give up and Jesus opened his eyes.
I speak to many of you this morning DONT GIVE UP. Even in mark 5:24-26, the woman with the issue of blood did not give up...
Many of you have given up already.
1. You know that you are always faithful to Sunday school class and coming early to church before but now, you are coming late, don't give up, go back to your first love for God
2.Many of you that always come to Bible study are no more coming, don't allow devil to draw you back, wake up, shake yourself from devil's trap, DON'T GIVE UP NOW.
3.Many of you always pray and study Bible but now social media has taken over your life, WAKE UP don't give up...... Be strong for the Lord now. Romans 11:12.
COVENANT PRACTICES TO DO.
1. MAKE UP YOUR MIND TO SERVE GOD FOREVER . Exodus 23:25.
Many, once God bless you with a little elevation, you don't serve again. Story of TUYIL who still serve despite being a millionaire.
2.MAKE UP YOUR MIND TO KEEP SABBATH DAY HOLY. Isaiah 58:13-14. Exodus 20:8, 31:14.
Nothing brings a child of God down before devil than when we violate the laws of the LORD. The first law God gave to Man is to love God and keep his Sabbath day Holy. Trying to engage yourself with another activities on the Sabbath day is to open the door of your life for devil to afflict you. Be strong and don't give up to always show up in his presence and in every service.
3.DONT GIVE ROOM FOR FEAR OR DEVILS INTIMIDATION. 2 TIM 1:7.
It is of a truth that devil will fight you and try to intimidate you, but be strong and don't give up, stand up in the place of worship, prayer and studying of the word of God. Once you are consistent and determined, the devil will be far from you.
4.DONT GIVE UP IN DOING GOOD. EPHESIANS 6:6-8, Galatians 6:9, 2thess 3:13.
Don't give up in doing good, people may pay you back with evil, don't worry, it has happened to me too countless times. Remember Joseph, he did good to bring food for his brethren, but sold him into slavery, he helped potiphars wife in taking care of the house she lied against him. He interpreted for chief butler, he forgot him, but one day, all his good deeds was paid back in one day.
5.DONT GIVE UP IN PRAISING THE LORD. HABAKKUK 3:17-19, ACTS 16:25-26.
In all you do, always remember that praising God is a WILL OF GOD. 1 Thessalonians 5:18. Even if you are not seeing the result, always don't give up in praising God. That's the secrets of the champions in the kingdom. Romans 4:19-21
